Today, Monday, the new one goes on sale in Spain. New Thermomix TM5 which was presented on Friday worldwide by Vorwerk.
With this kitchen robot they have improved different features of the famous model TM31 in order to adapt to the needs of users.
But let's go by parts:
What have they modified?
Apart from the more ergonomic and updated design, Vorwerk has made different changes as in the VAROMA and in the jar who have a larger size. Not that the difference is excessive, but it is better suited to large families. The new Varoma has a capacity of 3,3 liters and the glass of 2,2 liters.
The cup and butterfly have also been updated. The design is very similar but more modern to better perform its functions.
Where there has been a significant change has been in the lid whose closure in the New Thermomix TM5 it will be automatic. Also in the temperature selector, now being able to cook at 120º. The engine will make less noise and the warning beep will be different from now.
Another novelty is that it has a touch screen color and a single selector from where you can control the time, temperature and speed.
But without a doubt the great advance has been its system of Guided Cooking. It is a device that has on the side in which you can insert the Thermomix Digital Books. The appliance will automatically show the recipe instructions step by step, adjusting both the temperature and the time. In this way, users will only have to add the ingredients and activate the speed control.
I'm sure new users will love all these innovations but what about those of us who have the other models?
Those of us who have the TM31 model do not have to worry because the recipes and books are fully compatible. It still has a left turn, scale and spike speed, although now they call it a “kneading function”.

And the price?
It will depend on each country and its currency. Here in Spain, the price will be 1100€ and will include the base of the machine, the stainless steel glass, the basket, the butterfly and the spatula, the varoma and a digital book with 197 recipes that replaces the "Essential" and is entitled "Easy and healthy cooking."
