The drunks are juicy cakes soaked in a lot of syrup drunk with liquor. With our Thermomix we have a way to make this dessert very easy and simple.
We will make the cake and let it rest for a day so that it gets much better wet with our syrup. We will make a sweet syrup to which we will add rum to get drunk.
We will also make a simple cream to cover the cakes that later we will sweeten and burn with a blowtorch. You will love their final result, they are very sweet and juicy. Ideal for you to try.

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 120 g of sugar
- 120 g flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Syrup
- 200 ml water
- 200 g of sugar
- 90 ml rum
Crema
- 2 eggs
- 150 g of sugar
- 150 ml of milk
- 20 g of corn flour or cornstarch
- 10 butter g
Preparation
We heat the oven to 180 °. In our Thermomix glass we place the butterfly. We add the 4 eggs and 120 g of sugar. We schedule during 6 minutes at 37 ° at speed 4. When it is finished we reprogram 6 minutes at speed 4, no temperature.
Add the 12 g of wheat flour and the tablespoons of vanilla extract. We program 6 seconds at speed 4. We prepare a Plum Cake type mold about 30 cm long. In my case I have placed a piece of parchment paper in the bottom to be able to unmold the cake better when it is baked. We put the mixture in the mold and bake it for about 10 minutes, with heat up and down.
We take out the mold, let it cool and cover it with a cloth until the next day. The cake has to settle so that it can be soaked much better.
We prepare the syrup. In our clean glass we add the 200 ml of water and the 200 g of sugar, we program it for 8 minutes at varoma temperature and speed 1. At the end of the time we add the rum and reprogram it 5 seconds at speed 2,5. We put the syrup in a bowl.
In the same glass we add the 150 ml of milk, the 150 g of sugar and the 20 g of cornstarch. We mix it by programming 10 seconds at speed 3,5. We add the two eggs and program during 10 minutes at 110 ° at speed 2.
At the end we will observe that something thick has been left, if not we program it for a couple of more minutes. Add the 10 g of butter and program it 20 seconds at speed 3,5. We take the cream into a bowl and let it cool. We cover it and store it in the refrigerator.
The next day we take the cake out of the pan and cut it into pieces of approximately 2,5 cm. We put the pieces in the bowl with the syrup so that they are well soaked. We let the biscuits drain over a crack, turned over.
We put a layer of sugar on top and we burn them with a blowtorch. This layer will help the cakes stay firm on the bottom, when we turn them over.
We turn them over and cover them with the cream that we had prepared. We put another layer on top and burn it with the blowtorch so that they are well toasted. Once finished we can serve them cold or at room temperature. You will love them!
