With what to accompany the cream of mushrooms?

Creams like this alone are already delicious, but it is true that we can add a touch of grace or an extra to our dish by accompanying it with some little things. For instance:

  • Croutons or croutons: It is the classic of creams and we can find them already prepared in any supermarket and bakeries with a traditional flavor (that is, only bread) or also with garlic, onion, parsley or ham flavor. But, of course, you can prepare them at home and it will also be a great way to take advantage of the bread from the day before. We will only have to cut our bread into small cubes and prepare a mash of garlic, parsley, salt and oil (or just oil). We brush our croutons and bake them for 10-15 minutes at 180º (be careful not to burn them!).
  • Chicken: the chicken and mushrooms, they really go together really well. So if we have roasted or cooked chicken from another previous dish, such as baked chicken, grilled or cooked chicken, it is a perfect option to brighten up our mushroom cream. Cut it into small cubes, add salt and cumin for example if it is a bit bland and enjoy!
  • Crispy ham or leek: We can microwave ham cubes or leek strips with a little oil and always between two sheets of kitchen paper to have crispy ham, bacon or leek. We can also fry it in plenty of oil or even bake it.

    Very good cream! In summer salads and in winter creams are my favorite starters. I have made it with semi-skimmed milk, which is what we drink at home and it has turned out very good.       Hi marcos. It is rare that it has become thick. It is a very proven recipe. I understand that you put the mushrooms raw, right? If you put them raw, I see no explanation. I think that sometimes the balance of the TMX fails us. To weigh, what I do is put an empty container on the lid, then I set it to 0 and put the ingredient inside the container. And then weight. This way I make sure that the measurement is correct. In any case, don't worry. If it is thick, you add more milk and heat it. If you have the machine and / or the cream cold, 5 minutes at 90º, speed 1. If you have the machine and the cream hot (when you are making the cream), 1 minute at 90º speed 1. Surely the next time it will be great . A hug!

    Can whole milk be substituted for semi? Or will it come out more liquid? Another thing, we can not eat potatoes or carrots (diabetes) I think I substitute it for pumpkin or zucchini, and if it is to thicken with a little cornstarch, right?

    I make it with skim milk, which is what we have at home, and instead of cheeses I add cream to cook it, I add a little more pepper when serving it, and a drizzle of virgin olive oil to decorate the dish.
