Triple puree for babies

Triple baby food

What a find!! With this recipe, we prepare 3 types of purees or baby food at the same time: meat, fish and chicken. At home I always try to have homemade mashed potatoes for the little one, but sometimes I lack time ... and now that he is one year old and that he also eats salty at night ... I need to make more variety and more quantity. So with this recipe, all my problems have been solved: with the same effort I have 3 different varieties.

The trick is to put a good variety of vegetables with water in the glass, and in the varoma container, we will wrap the chicken in transparent film, on the other hand the fish and on the other the pork and / or veal. So later, we will only have to divide the glass puree into three equal parts and crush the meat or fish in each of them. What do you think? You will save time I assure you!

By the way, do not forget to visit the section of children's food, in which you can find the recipes classified according to the age of your little ones. You will see how children enjoy eating healthy and varied.

Spinach cannot be eaten until 18 months or any broadleaf.

Hello Laura, the important thing when preparing recipes for babies is to follow the instructions given by our pediatrician. In my case, these green leafy vegetables should be introduced at 11 months, but if in your case you have to wait until 18, you can substitute it with other vegetables such as beans, zucchini, carrots, potatoes ...

I guess the water is incorporated after slicing, right?

Hello María Dolores, we add the water together with the vegetables, in step 3. Thank you for writing us!

Good because you say for babies…, because I would already eat a little food that you have prepared. What a pint they do !! hee
I think it is a very good option, so you save time and have variety in the freezer.

One question: does all that fit in the thermomix? Because I just did it and I had to put the vegetables in twice since it didn't fit all. Of course, 12 great purees come out for my baby.

    1.    Irene Arcas said

What I do is put the vegetables, crush them and then I add the water and it is right at the 2-liter mark. Anyway if you want you can put less water to cook the vegetables and just add a little water before grinding them, but once cooked, when you are going to mix them with the meat / fish. You will tell me!

I made it and those quantities do not fit in the thermomix, it remained overflowing and after boiling it continued to overflow, it seemed like a very good idea but next time I will reduce quantities

The amounts of vegetables indicated in the recipe are impossible to cook in tm5, which is supposed to be the one with the highest capacity glass.

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Maria, we have modified the quantities reducing zucchini and carrots to 300 g each so that there is no problem of capacities. Thanks for writing to us!! A hug 🙂

Hi there! I just prepared this recipe, I have mashed the vegetables twice because the blades did not start at once, I also had to cook for 2 more minutes because the meat was not cooked yet. Has it ever happened to you or is it possible that my thermo does not heat well?

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Carolina, I think that maybe you put the pieces of vegetables and meat too big ... Try to put them smaller and if the same thing happens to you again, check that it is not due to a problem in the temperature.

        Hello!
        I love your recipes.
I want to make them and then do them in a water bath, can I do it? Will the potato come out okay?
        Thank you very much.
        A greeting.

        1.    Irene Arcas said

          Hi Txeli,
Thank you for your message! Yes you can, but be careful: if we are talking about food for babies / children there we must be much more careful. In order for canned food in a water bath to be totally safe, those made from vegetables must be consumed in a maximum of 4 days and stored in the fridge.
I leave you a link to one of our articles on how to pasteurize and preserve in a vacuum, mainly, fruit porridges:

Hi! My baby is almost 5 months old and we started with salty purees in no time. Ayayay, what a scare! I used to prepare my oldest son's purees with the thermomix, but without adding potatoes, because I understood that when they defrosted, they did not stay well ... What he did was add the boiled potato to the puree that he had defrosted. Is the puree of the recipe good for you once it has been defrosted? If it goes well, the truth is that it is a good time saver. You will tell me. Greetings and thanks!

Can they be frozen with potato ??? Thanks

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello new mom, yes because the amount of potato is small and it has many other ingredients. Thanks for following us!

Good Morning! I have put all the ingredients they know and it has been almost impossible to grind ... and when adding the water it overflowed ... I had to put the varoma aside to be able to cook the meat and fish ... I have followed the recipe to the letter ... but what could I have done wrong? Thanks!
