Potato and fish balls

potato-and-fish-balls

With these potato balls Children and adults are going to eat fish in a different and fun way, almost without realizing it.

They are a bit like the Croquetas: it takes us some time to prepare them - less than the croquettes, but a little while - although later spread quite and they like to all the world.

And, of course, we are facing a harvest plate perfect since we can do it using fish that we have left over from some preparation ... such as croquettes!

Could they be baked instead of fried?

      Hi Carina,

Sure, they may not be as crispy as fried, but it will be good too.

    Could they be frozen?

      Hi Ana,
Being potato, I don't know how it will be when defrosted ... The next time I make them I do a test and freeze a few. You think?

Hello, my little one has an allergy to eggs, could it be changed for another ingredient? Milk and cornstarch perhaps?
    Thank you

      Hello Silvia,
Try adding a little butter, a drizzle of oil, or even a little liquid cream. I simply put the egg so that the puree has a creamier texture so these other ingredients will do the same.
I hope your little one likes them.

    Fish get raw?

    1.    Carmen said

Hello, I think what Carina has said is a very good idea, if they are baked they will be much healthier. But I have never made a batter in the oven, could you guide me on the degrees and the time to do it this way? Thank you. All the best.

        Hi carmen,
In the oven, I make the nuggets and sometimes even the croquettes. I leave you the link of the turkey nuggets so you can see how they look: http://www.thermorecetas.com/2012/10/25/nuggets-de-pavo/
Bake the balls at 200º for 10-15 minutes or until you see that they take color. Before putting them in the oven you can brush them with a little olive oil.
        I hope you like them!
        A hug

Thank you very much Ascen, both for the explanation of how to prepare the balls, and for teaching me the recipe for the chicken naggets, I thought it was very good and with a lot of advice.

          All the best

      Hello, Martha,
I put it raw but with already cooked fish, if you have left over from another dish, it can be done too.
      Take care!
