Nougat flan

Thermomix Christmas Recipe Nougat Flan

I usually prepare this recipe for nougat flan as a dessert in some of the Christmas meals. It is one of my father-in-law's favorite puddings, because he loves the almond nougat. So it has become one of the traditional desserts in our family.

It can be made by adding to the mold Liquid candy or without it, although we have a sweet tooth and we love the touch it gives. And, if you also accompany it with a little whipped cream, it will become a truly vice dessert.

For this flan is used as one of the ingredients a flan envelope Royal®, which is for about 6 servings. I did not have that brand, I did it with Flanin® and the only thing to keep in mind is that the envelope is for four servings, so you will need 1 envelope and a half or more or less about 100 g of powdered flan.

        María is good with the whole tablet, because it is nougat flan, it must taste like it. Even so, if this nougat does not suit you, add a little less. The thing about not curdling, it may be for several reasons, that maybe the milk was not whole, or that the ingredients were very cold and it took longer for the machine to get the temperature and it would have needed a few more minutes of heat or that you did not put it right first the time, the temperature and then the speed, if it is not done in this order it does not heat well and does not set or you will add less grams of flan.

      Monika, when you put the two mixtures together, it becomes liquid but it is set to the correct temperature and then thickens in the fridge and it is better all the recipes that need a curd that are made from one day to the next. Maybe at some point you didn't put the time, temperature and speed in order. It is very important that it be done like this, otherwise it does not take temperature and therefore it will not curdle.

    I used 1 sachet of 4 servings of Royal Egg Flan (150 g) and it didn't curdle either.

    Last night I made the flan, and if it's great, we all like it, it is very soft, but I like it with more consistency of the type with condensed milk, maybe that's why some of it doesn't thicken, I did and right away, I put milk at room temperature.     Hello Silvia and Elena! This flan has to be delicious on Saturday I will prepare it myself, what if I have tried and it comes out very good is the jijona nougat cake. I will leave you the recipe just in case you want to make it is also very simple as well as fast.

    Ingredients:
    200ml. of liquid cream, 1 / 2l. of milk, 1 sachet of curd, 90gr. of sugar and 1 pill of nougat from Jijona.
    Preparation:
    All the ingredients are poured into the glass and we program 8 minutes, temperature 100, speed 2. Put royal caramel (or any other brand) in a mold and when the machine stops, the mixture is poured into the mold. Let it cool before removing it from the mold. You can also put a base of sobaos. I hope you like it.

I followed the recipe to the letter and yes, it curdled well, the problem is that it was bland, it was not sweet and nobody in my house liked it, everyone said that it lacked sugar. The nougat was normal jijona with sugar, I don't know what went wrong because all the comments say it's great.

    Hello girls, I just put my flan in the fridge and the truth is that I did it with the flanin envelopes, but since I used semi-skimmed milk, I put two whole ones. I think it will set perfectly, because it was already quite consistent when I poured it into the mold. The only variant that I put in was to cover the lid of the flan with some soletilla biscuits, which I had already finished, so when I unmold it, they will serve as a base.

      Hello Breadwater, indeed it has happened to several people and we think it may be because maybe the ingredients were too cold and it took a little longer to get the necessary temperature to set, so maybe it needed a couple of more minutes in the Thermomix. We have to make sure that the temperature perfectly reaches 90 degrees and that it stays there for at least 40 seconds. Did you use whole or semi-skimmed milk?
