Are you looking for a simple recipe? We propose this basmati rice with broccoli. 

Basmati rice, flavored with lemon, we are going to serve it with a simple salsa that we will prepare in the glass. We will steam the broccoli while the rice cooks in the basket.

Preparing it is going to take us very little time. In some 30 minutes we will have everything ready.

A simple recipe for rice with broccoli that can be used as an accompaniment to any meat or fish dish.

Ingredients

  • Two or three sprigs of parsley
  • 750 g of water
  • Sal Island
  • Black pepper
  • The skin of a lemon (better if it is organic)
  • 240g basmati rice
  • 300 g of broccoli in small florets or even sliced
  • 70 g of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 20 g onion

Preparation

  1. We put the parsley leaves in the glass and crush them by programming 3 seconds, speed 7. We put the chopped parsley in a bowl.

  2. Pour the water, a little salt, the pepper and the lemon peel into the glass. We put the basket inside the glass and, inside the basket, the rice. We put the cover on.

  3. We chop the broccoli and distribute it in the varoma container. We place the varoma in its position, with the lid. 

  4. We program 15 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 2-5 to leave those 15 minutes at speed 5.

  5. Carefully remove the varoma and place the broccoli in a bowl.

  6. With the help of the spatula, we remove the basket from the glass and put the rice in the source, with the broccoli.

  7. We remove the water from the glass (we are not going to use it).

  8. Now we put the olive oil, garlic and onion in the glass. We program 5 seconds, speed 7. We schedule below 6 minutes, 120º, speed 1.

  9. We strain that oil through a strainer and distribute it over the rice with broccoli.

  10. Sprinkle the parsley that we have chopped in the first step and serve immediately.
