With half a kilo of carrots we can make a simple carrot cream or go a bit further and prepare one more dish creative. I have opted for the latter and I share it with you. You will be surprised how rich this is carrot and strawberry cream and also its color, which is accentuated by crushing the raw strawberries.

We are going to serve it with a splash of paprika oil ass and sunflower pipesl. Let's see if your diners are able to guess the ingredients ... I'll tell you that they won't have it easy!

Don't be afraid to use sweet ingredients in savory dishes. We already did it with this broccoli apple cream how much we like it at home.

An original cream, full of contrasts and bright color. We will serve it with paprika oil and some sunflower seeds.

Ingredients

  • 380 g of carrot (weight once peeled)
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 small spring onion
  • 180 g potato (already peeled)
  • 550 g of water
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Sal Island
  • 3 fresas

Plus:

  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Paprika de la Vera (the tip of a teaspoon)
  • Sunflower seeds

Preparation

  1. We put the onion in the glass and program 3 seconds, speed 5. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass and add the oil. We program 3 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

  2. We take advantage of this time to wash and peel the carrots and potatoes. We chop them (in large pieces).

  3. Now add the carrot already peeled and in pieces. We also add the potato. We bite programming 5 seconds, speed 4.

  4. We add the water and program 35 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

  5. At the end of the programmed time, add the strawberries, pepper and salt. We program 40 seconds at speed 10. We check that everything is well crushed.

  6. In a small container we put a couple of tablespoons of olive oil with the paprika. We mix with a spoon.

  7. We serve our cream with a splash of our paprika oil and with sunflower seeds.

Notes

You can enrich it with your favorite spices. Turmeric works great for you. [br]It is a rather thick cream. If we want it lighter we can add more water and mix everything again at high speed.
