¿Carrot fritters? And candies? Although it sounds strange, yes, it is what I propose today, and I am convinced that you will like them.

Very easy, with ingredients from walking around the house and to surprise more than one. And if not, when you present them at the table, ask the following question: do you know what these donuts are made of?

Like the Patty, is a recipe from my mother. I have followed its instructions and I have adapted it to Thermomix. Without a doubt, an ideal snack for these autumn afternoons.

Ingredients

  • 230 g carrots, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 500 g of water to cook the carrots
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar to coat them once fried

Preparation

  1. We put the carrots (peeled and cut into pieces) and the water in the glass and program 20 minutes, varoma temperature, spoon speed.

  2. When the programmed time is up, we drain the carrot pieces (we can help ourselves with a basket, discarding the water) and put them back in the glass. We shred programming 8 seconds, speed 5.

  3. Now we have to put the butterfly. We add the sugar and the eggs. We program 10 seconds, speed 2.

  4. Add the 100 g of flour and program again 10 seconds, speed 2. We finish mixing with the help of the spatula.

  5. It is time to fry the fritters. We put plenty of oil in a pan. We will make the fritters with the help of a couple of spoons, always with the oil very hot and leaving a separation between them.

  6. We are removing them with the help of a slotted spoon and placing them on a plate covered with kitchen paper to remove the excess oil. We batter them in sugar and ready to serve!
