This roll is made with a creamy cheese of different kinds and a crunch covered with nuts, onion and blueberries. It is ideal for a snack and especially for starters this Christmas.
With the help of our Thermomix we can make that crunchy of nuts and be able to make that perfect mix with the different cheeses that the recipe contains.
If you like cheese spread you can always make the mixture have another type of cheese if you wish. You can also come up with the crunch you want, since you can substitute for example the onion and add raisins, walnuts, almonds or whatever you like the most. So let's enjoy this starter!
Cheese roll with bacon and nuts

Ingredients
- 300 g of cream cheese type Philadelphia
- 160 g of goat cheese
- 60 g of grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup of pistachios
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup crispy fried onion
- 100 g bacon
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
Preparation
In our Thermomix glass we add the 100 g of bacon cut into small pieces together with the 5 tablespoons of olive oil. We schedule it during 15 minutes at varoma temperature and speed 1,5. We have to have the bacon fried and crispy, if not, we will program it for a few more minutes.
We remove the bacon from the glass and drain its oil. We put the bacon back in the glass and we are going to program it for 5 seconds at speed 5,5. We remove the bacon in a bowl.
In the same glass we add the 1/4 cup of dried cranberries and 1/4 cup of pistachios. We schedule it during 5 seconds at speed 7. We remove it and mix it with the bacon. Add the 1/4 cup of crispy fried onion and stir to mix well.
In our clean Thermomix glass we add the 300 g of cream cheese, the 160 g of goat cheese and the 60 g of grated cheddar cheese. We schedule it during 20 seconds at speed 3,5.
We place the cheese mixture on a surface of aluminum foil. The idea is that with the paper we can help ourselves to form a roll and compact it much better. Once the shape is made, we put it in the freezer for 40 minutes.
We take out the roll and unwrap it from the aluminum foil. We will notice that it is somewhat harder to cover it with the crunchy mixture of bacon and nuts. When we do it, we can let it rest in the refrigerator or serve it directly at your table.
