Children's cake with gifts

Today is the birthday of one of my little ones. He is no more and no less than three years old! We celebrated it last Saturday and, very happy, he blew his candles on this cake.

A week ago I asked him what he wanted his birthday cake. I expected him to say "chocolate" as an answer, but what was my surprise when he answered "smurfs".

After giving it a few laps this has been the result. It is a very simple cake but one that is full of surprises: a smurf for the birthday boy (you don't eat that one), a lot of smarties, some kit-kat, a green sponge cake, jam and cream inside and eight cabbages made with Fondant Clouds and with a toy inside, one for each child.

The moment of the cake is one of the most enjoyed in the birthday, right ?. Well imagine if you accompany each child's plate with a gift that you can also take home!

Thanks Ana. She liked it a lot (you know how grateful these little ones are). And since Saturday he sleeps with his «Farmer Smurf» ...

It's beautiful, thank you very much for such great recipes. Two little questions:
What brand of cream do you use to mount you is that I can't get it to stay firm.
And second, we love Smurfs but I can't find them where you buy them?
    Thank you.

    Hello Vanesa,
I have used several brands of cream and it always blends well, yes, they have to have at least 35% fat. I give you some tips in case they help you:
-If you mount less than half a liter of cream, do not forget to put the butterfly on the blades
-Top a tablespoon of Philadelphia cheese before mounting it, put it in the glass, along with the liquid cream and very cold
-Put speed 3 1/2 without programming time (do not put the beaker and do not take your eyes off the inside of the glass to see when it is ready). When you think it's ready for the machine, you open the lid and look inside. If you think it lacks a bit, give it a few more seconds
-Once it is assembled, it is when you have to add the icing sugar, helping you with the spatula, with enveloping movements.
    I hope this helps…
About the smurfs ... now I don't live in Spain and I can't tell you. But I imagine they will have them in the big toy stores. If not in amazon you can also find them.
    A kiss!

Ascen you are fantastic, but for things like this sometimes you have to see the steps, because if not, I will get a churro.

    Thank you

      Hello Lola
In this cake I did not take pictures with the steps because what I really wanted you to see is that you can decorate your cakes with gifts for children. You can make the cake and even the filling to your liking. Also the theme and sweets are ideally suited to the birthday boy's taste.
In any case, as in September I will have to do another one, I will take your suggestion into account. Thanks for your comment!
