Children's cake with gifts

Preparation

1. We start to prepare the cake at least the day before since this way the cakes will be juicier at the time of consumption.

2. First one and then the other. Both are made in the same way, the only difference is that one of them has a few drops of coloring. I put here how to make one:

3. We place the butterfly on the blades, put the 4 eggs with the sugar (120 gr) and the vanilla sugar (1 teaspoon) in the glass and program 6 minutes, 37º, speed 4.

4. When the time is up, we re-program others 6 minutes, speed 4 (without programming temperature).

5. We open the lid and add the flour (120 gr) with the salt, pouring it around the butterfly. We program 4 seconds, speed 3.

6. We remove the butterfly and finish wrapping the mixture carefully using the spatula.

7. We pour the mixture into a rectangular mold (mine was 25 x 40) and bake at 180º for 20 or 25 minutes (we put the mold when the oven is hot).

8. To make the second cake we follow the same procedure but we add a few drops of food coloring (in this case blue) in the first step. Will you think blue? But if the cake is green? Well, that color comes from the mixture between the eggs and the food coloring.

9. We pour the water, the sugar and the lemon into the glass and program 12 minutes, 100º, speed 2. Let it temper and put it in the fridge.

10. We start by pulverizing the sugar to make it glass (progressive speed 5-10 for 30 seconds). Now we cool the glass by chopping some ice cubes that we will then throw away (to whip the cream, both the glass and our cream have to be very cold). We put the butterfly on the blades. We shake the cream container well and pour its contents into the glass. We also add a tablespoon of Philadelphia cheese that will give our cream more consistency. We put the Thermomix to work in speed 3 1/2, without programming time. When it is ready, we stop the machine and add the icing sugar to the whipped cream. We integrate sugar and cream helping us with the spatula and with enveloping movements. We reserve in the fridge.

11. When the cakes and syrup are cold, we put each cake on plastic wrap or baking paper and, helping us with a spoon, we put syrup on top. The plastic wrap or the oven paper will help us to collect the excess syrup and then place a cake on the serving tray and another on the surface of our cake (bathe them well so that they do not remain dry, especially the green one since it does not having no coverage will dry out more).

12. On the white cake, after having bathed it, we put jam. I have used homemade plum jam but you can make it with whatever you have or like more.

13. On the jam we place the whipped cream.

14. We carefully put the green sponge sheet on top, as I said, helping us with the film. The bottom part of this plate (the one that was glued to the mold) will be the one that will be seen since it is the most beautiful.

15. We put the cake in the fridge until we are going to decorate it.

16. We make the cloud fondant following the recipe we saw a few days ago. You can also buy the fondant already made. We dyed it green in this case. I did not have special dyes and I have done it with a few drops of food coloring (2 yellow and 1 blue)

17. With the fondant I have made the cabbages although you can do whatever you can think of (soccer balls, flowers, animals ... For this we use the round toys that we want to give to the children -they are small rubber toys that come in a ball of plastic-, with the roller we make little sheets of fondant and then we line the toys with them, then we finish making the figure with more fondant.

18. We make truffles to decorate. You can whip 250 g of cream or 500 g, depending on the amount you are going to need for your decoration. In this case it is done as I have indicated before but adding two tablespoons of pure powdered chocolate before whipping the cream.

19. We decorate the cake with the toy figurine that we will give to the birthday boy, smarties, Kit Kat, cream, the toys lined with fondant and / or with everything you can think of that the children like.

20. Now we can only enjoy their faces.
