Sweet bread with chocolate

The taste of these chocolate chip muffins It reminds me a lot of the chocolate donuts. The shape has nothing to do with it, but both the taste and the whitish color of the inside of the bun are very similar.

We have made a video so you can see how complicated this recipe has nothing. The dough is made in 5 minutes, in our glass. Then we just have to work it with our hands and wait for the corresponding lifting times.

Ingredients

  • 260 g semi-skimmed milk
  • 15 g fresh baker's yeast
  • 500 g flour
  • 100 g butter at room temperature
  • 40 g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 75 g of chocolate chips
  • 1 beaten egg

Preparation

  1. We put the milk, yeast, flour, butter, sugar and salt in the glass. We program 5 minutes, spike speed.

  2. We take the dough out of the glass and knead it with our hands until it forms a ball. We can do this in a bowl, so we do not stain the countertop.

  3. We put our ball in that bowl and cover it with plastic or a cloth. We let it rise for about 2 hours or a little less, depending on the temperature.

  4. We knead again and we add the chocolate chips so that they are integrated into the dough. 

  5. We divide the dough into 4 portions and give each of them an elongated shape, as if they were bread sticks.

  6. We place them in a baking dish, covered with baking paper and cover them with the plastic from before or with the cloth that we have used.

  7. We let it rise for about an hour.

  8. We remove the plastic or the cloth that covers them and paint the surface of the bars with beaten egg.

  9. We bake them at 220º for approximately 15 minutes.
