I propose today's recipe as a dessert for your dinner or Christmas lunch. In the video you will see that it cannot be simpler but only by trying it will you be able to discover how good these are cream tartlets.

They are (or try to be) like the traditional ones portuguese pastries, the cream cakes.

And why are my proposal for these holidays? First for its flavor, quite neutral and that everyone will like. Also because they can be prepared in advance since even when cold they are very tasty. And finally, because being individual portions, serving them will be the simplest. You can even transport them without much complication if it is your turn to carry the dessert.

A perfect dessert for family gatherings. Easy to make and very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 250g milk
  • 250 g of cream
  • 120 g of sugar
  • 50 g flour
  • Yolks 5
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • The skin of 1 organic lemon
  • 500 g of puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • Cinnamon

Preparation

  1. We fit the butterfly on the blades. We put the milk, cream, sugar, flour and egg yolks in the glass. We mix by programming 10 seconds, speed 4.

  2. We also put in the glass and cinnamon stick and the skin of 1 lemon. We schedule now 18 minutes, 90 °, speed 2.

  3. Unroll the puff pastry sheets and cut 12 circles of about 10 centimeters in diameter (this measurement and the number of circles will depend on the size of the molds we use).

  4. We grease and flour the molds. We put a puff pastry circle on each of them.

  5. Once the programmed time is over, we remove the butterfly from the blades and also remove the cinnamon stick and the lemon peel.

  6. We fill the molds with our cream (without reaching the edge) and bake at 200 (preheated oven) for approximately 25 minutes. They will be ready when the cream has set and the surface of the puff pastry is golden brown.

  7. Remove from the oven, let it cool for about 15 minutes and unmold.

  8. We sprinkle cinnamon on the surface and serve hot or cold, as we like best.

Notes

They are kept in the refrigerator.

They can be made using the disposable molds shown in the video or the hard molds used to bake muffins.

    I always mess with both types of puff pastry. Can you tell me which one to use for this recipe?

      Hello, Gloria,
      Use the one you find in your supermarket. There are many types of dough and you have to look for the one that puts puff pastry. It can be rectangular or round and in this case I have used the round one but the other is also valid. Do not stop making them, they are very tasty.
