Chocolate sponge cake with red wine

Easy Thermomix Recipe Chocolate cake with red wine

I tried this red wine brownie for the first time in a cooking course at Thermomix®. We were quite surprised by the name, due to the mixture of chocolate and red wine, but what most captivated us was its flavor. It is very rich and fluffy, appreciating different flavors and notes when tasting it.

It is very original and almost everyone likes it. It is ideal to take to the office and enjoy with colleagues or to have a coffee in the middle of the afternoon… you can't resist!

It is also a very original way of benefit that little bit of wine that we usually have from the bottle when we have guests. In my house they already know that whenever there is a little bit left the next day we have cake for a snack.

I just made the red wine cake and it is original and one of the richest I have tasted lately. I have also used individual silicone molds and the presentation has been beautiful.

How cool, Sylvia !. It is a delicious cake. The first time I tried it was in a Thermomix course and when they said the name I thought I was not going to like it, but the opposite is great. All the best.

ohh, what a good thing ... at this rate I'm going to get a few extra pounds. Congratulations again, I made it this afternoon and I am tasting it now. Delicious.

Hi Silvia, look I wanted to ask you something. I love cakes and I intend to make all your recipes that are very good. The other day in Mercadona I saw that they sold special flour for cakes, I usually use the normal wheat or pastry flour (according to recipe). you think they will be fluffier with this type of flour. By the way I also intend to make your muffins, can I add the invert sugar to make them fluffier? one thousand Thanks for your help. You are awesome. All the best.

    1.    Silvia said

M.Luisa, I imagine that this flour will improve the dough and the sugar will also make it more fluffy. Try and tell us how.
      All the best

    Hello
I have read all the comments and nobody says anything, but I did it 1 month ago and when it was in the oven, it began to rise and rise and rise and I was so happy, until 10 minutes before the end of time, poof! it went down the center and it was very ugly, although very good. I did not open the door for him, nor did I lower the temperature, nor did anything weird. Isn't 200 grams of flour too little?

    1.    Silvia said

Cristina flour is fine, although I don't know why the raising and lowering of the cake could have happened to you, maybe you preheated it to a very high temperature and as the ovens retain the heat even if you put it in lowering the temperature it stayed very strong perhaps.

      1.    Cristina said

hummmm! Well, that suits me a lot, since my oven is very powerful and I did a very strong preheating. Next time it will be perfect.
        Thank you very much.

Good afternoon, I have the cake in the oven, but I don't have much faith that it will turn out well since the dough, when I removed it from the TMX, was very thick, much more than with other biscuits, but since I'm a novice at this, I don't know whether it is normal or not.
I'll tell you how it turned out.
    Greetings.

  13.   vanesa said

Buenisimooo, I just tried it and with the fact that it had wine I was sure that I was not going to like it, since I do not like the smell of wine at all, but I have to admit that it is very rich ... Besides, as Easter I have also put a good Rioja, hahaha.

jijijijijijijijiji… ..if next time we have a brick at hand, we will try it and if not Vanesa, we already know the secret, jijijiji, a greeting

They gave me the thermomix 3 days ago, an insurmountable birthday present, and I premiered it with this cake, I promise you. I thought I wasn't going to like it, but the demo boy encouraged me to do it for the premiere, in addition to other dishes, and he was absolutely right. It is very good, nothing cloying, and he decorated it like a cake, with cream, strawberries and kiwis. Great. In a couple of days, I'll repeat it.

    1.    Silvia said

Welcome Carmen, I am very happy that this has been your premiere thermomix recipe. What an illusion it makes when you prepare your first recipe and it comes out great !!
      All the best

The other day I did it and well the truth is that delicious, very good…. But when I took it out of the thermo it was super pasty. Do you know why it can be???…. Thanks

    1.    Silvia said

Gepy, the truth is that I do not know very well what the pasty thing is due to. I usually get the same texture as any sponge cake.

  17.   gepy said

Hello Silvia. Well, I don't know, maybe I would add extra flour. Well I have not told you, the first time I did it I was wrong and put 1,10 liter, you had to see how I removed the wine with a ladle, the fact is that I finished doing it and they sucked their fingers ... .. ha ha ha when he told the story, they couldn't believe it. Well, they said it did not taste like wine ... I split, and a little and they end up farting .... LOL. It was eaten whole.

    1.    Silvia said

What a grace with the wine! the truth is that sometimes it seems to us that we have done everything the same and we have missed some detail. I'm glad you like this cake.

On Saturday I made this sponge cake… .. THAT GOOD… it came out spongy and the flavor… .in order that it has disappeared, that of the wine, it gave me noseque but in the end I decided and spectacular.
Thank you because without you I don't know what would become of me ...

  21.   vanesa said

Thank you very much for all your recipes, I am really into them. Yesterday I made this cake with a very good flavor, but I am not like my hostess of the thermo, I stay rather short and a little dry, it also had a crust on top and it crumbled a lot because it can be.

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Hi Vanesa, maybe it is because of the type of mold (if it is too low for you) and, above all, because of the temperature. Here we give an orientation, but many times it is necessary for each one to adapt it to their oven and their molds. If it was dry and crumbling, it may be because it has been cooked too long. It's a matter of getting the hang of it. Try to do it again, leaving it less time. Lucky!
