Mojito sorbet

Easy Thermomix Mojito Sorbet Recipe

What started as a traditional mojito to liven up an afternoon in September, it finally became a surprising mojito sorbet ... what a great idea !!

This summer I have had a mojito with my husband in the Playa and to remember some of those rare and pleasant moments, it occurred to me to prepare one with a recipe that comes in the book, "Simply spectacular" from Thermomix.

I prepared all the ingredients and got to work. When I added the amount of ice that I had, it seemed like a lot, but I followed the recipe and when I opened the glass ... Surprise! had an sorbet instead of a cocktail. I added more sugar and a little more sparkling mineral water and it was perfect.

I'm still not sure what went wrong. Maybe the ices fell apart quickly because they are homemade and not industrial. These are things that happen in the kitchen and this time the surprise was very pleasant.

Since then, among our friends sit has become fashionable our mojito sorbet.

I want to dedicate this recipe to my father-in-law, who has a birthday, and to him all kinds of cocktails come out great for soften a good time, like his "famous" champagne cocktail, which one of these days I will roll to publish.

Delicious!!! I prepare it at home, although with less rum hahaha
One question, can you crush ice bought in the Thermomix? They told me they damaged the blades.
    Thank you!

Jessie, as bought ice is hard and dry, they make the blades work twice as hard and you have to be careful.
If you chop it, you should start from low speed progressively to high speed and I would recommend that you wet
the ice a bit before crushing it.

To crush the shopping ice, you have to give it a few turbo shots. I was a vorwerk demonstrator at one time.

Hello girls, I recently had the Thermomix, my parents gave it to me for Reyes and I am delighted and even more so since I read your blog. But I have a question ... and I need your help.
Tomorrow I had dinner at home and I was going to prepare Fideuà and some Mojitos for later, but now we make dinner at the house of some friends and to take the Fideuà, no problem, I put it in a tupperware and that's it, but you think I could freeze the Mojitos the straw? (I do it with the banana and take it out 10 minutes before it looks great) but with the Mojitos I don't know if they will be good. Being a more watery mixture, maybe everything is left in a glob of ice, what do you recommend I try it or directly pass the Mojitos?

    1.    Silvia said

Tania, I've never done it but give it a try, although you may need to leave them defrosting all dinner. You will already tell us how it turns out and if not, prepare some Miguelitos for dessert, which are easy and very fast. They will love it.
