Easy Recipe Thermomix Rice Cakes

This recipe for rice cakes seemed like a simple recipe and with my sweet tooth I could not ignore it without trying it. So at the next family celebration I took them and it was a success, everyone loved it. I have to say that I was rather short, because they were over in the blink of an eye !!

These cakes are typical of Bizkaia, and they are eaten at any time with a delicious coffee in the middle of the morning or for have a snack, have breakfast, or as a dessert.

The truth is that traditional Basque cuisine has simple recipes but very rich and full of flavor.

What a good pint !! One question (maybe a bit silly), the rice semolina, can it also be made previously with Thermomix? if so, could you tell me how?

Thank you very much and greetings

The truth is that I bought it, but you are right you can pulverize rice and try to make the recipe, it may even come out better and everything.

Rice semolina is sold in almost all supermarkets, to the children's feeding area or to the flour, they are very tasty, try them!

I use a 12-hole pan to make muffins. Disposable aluminum cupcake liners can also be used.

Hello, yesterday checking the refrigerator I found a package of dumplings about to expire and I remembered that I had seen this recipe, so I got to work and since I did not have rice grits I crushed it, at maximum speed, a little by eye, until it seemed to me that it was already there and I passed it through a sieve to refine it a little more. They were left with vice, nothing to envy to the pastry shop that I have next to home, a resounding success. Thanks

Marieta, what a good idea to replace the semolina, because my package will expire in a couple of months and for the next time I will follow your advice.
      All the best

It has been impossible for me to find rice semolina, there is only wheat. Does it also serve with rice flour? If not, please tell me where you buy it. Thank you.

I have not tried it with rice flour. I buy the semolina in carrefour or alcampo, but if you can't find it, read all the comments that friends have left on this recipe, someone has commented that they have done it by pulverizing rice and that it has been delicious.

Hi, I have everything except the cornstarch, I can substitute it for rice flour.

    1.    Silvia said

Marisa, cornstarch is to thicken, I have not tried with rice flour but maybe it works, if you dare tell us how.
      All the best

I wanted to know how many calories you have per serving rice cakes. Thank you

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Nerea:

These cupcakes are nutritious and each contains about 140 calories. If you are on a diet you can try them but without going overboard. However, for children it is a very complete food and they usually like it.

      Regards!
