To start the week well, we are going to do a pineapple cake very easy.

The ingredients are from basic and inexpensive and also it is done in a moment ... Conclusion: we do not have to wait until the weekend to prepare it.

A sheet of puff pastry, a bottle of canned pineapple and four other things - of which we always have at home - will be enough so that, just like that, you surprise with a different dessert. I tell you how fresh it is delicious.

And if you have any pineapple slice left over, you can get the most out of it by preparing this juice. Young and old will be delighted to take it.

Ingredients

  • 1 round sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 can of pineapple (approximately 400 g, with 7 slices will be enough)
  • Yolks 4
  • 300 ml whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour (cornstarch type) or potato starch
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of liquor (optional)

Preparation

  1. We take the puff pastry out of the fridge (before unrolling it it has to be at room temperature so that it does not break).

  2. We put the butterfly in the glass and add the sugar and the egg yolks. We program 3 minutes, speed 3.

  3. Now add the milk and the corn flour (you can substitute it with potato starch) and program 6 minutes, 70º, speed 2.

  4. In a round mold suitable for oven of about 24-26 cm in diameter we put the sheet of puff pastry spread on the baking paper itself that usually comes in the package. Prick the base with a fork (about 10 times). We put the cream that we just made on top (you will see that it will be rather liquid but do not worry that with the baking and then when cooling it will change the texture). On it we place the pineapple slices, one in the center and the others following the circle of the mold.

  5. If we want we can fold the puff pastry edge (the one you see in the photo is made like this).

  6. We take advantage of part of the whites that we have left over to brush the puff pastry that has remained around our cake. In this way the puff pastry will be more beautiful when baked.

  7. Bake at 200º for approximately 20 minutes.

  8. When it is ready, we take it out of the oven and let it warm to room temperature. Then we put it in the fridge because this cake, very cold, is to die for.
