Lemon slush

If you have four lemons at home, do not hesitate to prepare this lemon slush. A soft drink without colorings or preservatives, which will appeal to young and old alike.

Just carry lemons, sugar, water and ice, what you have to bring, and I assure you that it is as delicious as the best ice cream parlors.

And you will say, yes ... but doing it takes a while ... I recommend that you make the smoothie with lemons, water and sugar when you have a little while. You reserve it in the fridge and, when you want to have the granita, you add the ice and grind. Ready to serve!

Ingredients

  • The skin of a lemon, only the yellow part
  • 4 lemons, peeled (including the previous one), without any white part and without seeds
  • 150 or 200 g of sugar -you can substitute it for its equivalent in sweetener-
  • 500 g of water
  • Between 500 and 800 g of ice cubes (according to taste)

Preparation

  1. The longest time will be to prepare the lemons. We will use 4. We remove the yellow part of the skin from one of them (it is done very well with a peeler) and reserve it. Now we peel the lemons well (the one we just used and the other three), removing even the white part. We cut them and remove all the seeds.

  2. We pour the sugar into the glass and program 20 seconds, progressive speed 5-10.

  3. Add the lemon peel and program 20 seconds more, also in progressive speed 5-10.

  4. Now we add the lemons -without the white part and without seeds- and the water. We shred 2 more minutes at the same speeds (5-10)

  5. If we don't want to consume the granita now, we put this mixture in the fridge until we want to drink it.

  6. When we want to consume it, we add the ice cubes and program speed 5. When we stop hearing ice noises on the sides of the glass, our slush will be ready.

  7. We serve, put one or two straws in each glass and enjoy the summer!

Notes

If you feel like it, you can also chop some mint leaves. You will give it a different touch.
