Sandy ice cream from McDonald's

Mc Donald's sandy ice cream thermomix dessert recipe

This is one of my favorite ice creams. I have no idea how much ice cream of this type I will have consumed.

I have always been passionate about ice cream. Since I was little, my mother used to buy me my first ice cream of the year when spring came and she always told me: "My mother, every time you take your first ice cream of the season before, eh !!" ... she always trying as a mother to take care of me, so as not to take something cold and resent my happy anguines who gave me so much trouble until I took them off.

But when my adolescence arrived and I no longer had so much access to control my diet, I always remembered his phrase "this is the first ice cream of the season" every time I had one, because it never ended, nor did it begin. ice cream season. I have had these ice creams all my life since I was fifteen and it is rare the month that I do not have one. I love!

My favorite is with chocolate and my husband's candy, but I am so anxious with them, that I finished mine faster than him and he always gave me to finish his. Do you remember honey? "things of love"!! poor thing ... I think I have not let him in almost twenty years together finish a single one.

I must confess how excited I was to find this recipe on the blog "Sweet and salty snacks". It is the closest thing I have found to this type of ice cream. It is very creamy and it melts quickly. Once done I let it freeze completely. The next day I took it out a little before eating and gave it a mash of 30 seconds or so with progressive speed 5-10, helping it with the spatula through its mouth. The texture was ideal and it came out great !!

McDonald's ice creams are delicious but if you need more inspiration and new ideas and delicious you can try this ice cream…It will surprise you!

        Yes Paco, you are right.
Ana, I garnished it with caramel syrup and crocanti.

Can we skip the butter or substitute it ????? I don't like: ((neither butter, nor cream, nor cheese,…: (((
Congratulations on your blog, it's GREAT

    1.    Silvia said

Fatima, the truth is that the recipe I found was like this and I don't know how it would be without it. If someone tries to see if they can tell us something.

  3.   Marco Antonio said

Silvia, when you mean vanilla essence, is it the inside of a pod?

    1.    Silvia said

They sell it like this and it is a small bottle of the vahine brand, which is vanilla essence to give flavor.

  4.   loam said

Hi Silvia, if I put inverted sugar? Can be done?
    Long live the thermomix

    1.    Silvia said

Yes Marga, you already know that ice creams with invert sugar are very good.

Olalla, thank you very much, because comments like this make me more passionate about my recipes every day and the desire to share them with all of you. Although on more than one occasion I wonder if I will not be a bore to tell you so much about my life. But I already consider you all, for the support I am receiving, as from my family.
      A kiss

As Silvia had no essence, I added a vanilla bean split in half when I prepared the cream and it was delicious.

  8.   jubilant89 said

olaa I love the sundiiiiiii !! jjeejej and how much does a little milk drink with the cornstarch? And the crocanti those where can you buy them?

  9.   Jose Fernando Diaz said

    Thank you for the recipe!!!
It has turned out great for me.
It had no vanilla essence (does anyone know where you can buy it in Madrid ???) and I have replaced it with a few teaspoons of vanilla sugar from Mercadona (just under half a cup).
It's to die for ... I'm a fan of this ice cream!

  10.   Isabel said

Silvia, where can you buy the caramel syrup, because it is not liquid caramel, is it? Could you answer me please !! Thanks I like your recipes, I try almost all of them.

  11.   Rakel said

I have bought the vanilla in the carrefour, it is a small bottle of the vahine brand and it is usually with the puddings and desserts preparations. I just did it and it has an amazing smell, there is a taste like this, I'll tell you about it.

  12.   Rakel said

You cannot imagine the time it took my husband to eat it hahahaha, the truth is that this is great, a question Silvia, can the yolks be frozen like the egg whites? is that with four I don't know what to do with them and as there are going to be many more that I wanted to save them to make a Catalan cream or something similar, thank you.

    1.    Silvia said

I'm glad you liked it, the truth is that it is a luxury of ice cream and so creamy !!
With the theme of freezing egg yolks, no problem. They say that it is convenient to take them whipped, otherwise the film that covers the yolk when freezing can explode.

  13.   piluka said

Delicious! Whenever I go to McDonald's I ask!
    Thank you for the recipe!

  14.   Mª CARMEN said

Elena I don't know how to do it, it's that on the Mac they make them with emanens and kit-kat and I don't know when I can incorporate them.
    Thank you

    1.    Silvia said

MªCarmen, what you tell me are toppings that you then add to the ice cream once you have it in your glass ready to drink. You do not have to add them before.

  15.   CRISTINA said

Hi, pretty, I'm the novice, I'm putting on my boots, I had dinner last night some seafood clams, ham and cheese coracoles and behind the SANDY in tulips from MERCADONA, I'm going to tell you about the diet to hell.
I have a question, how do I have to pass the ice cream once frozen? I don't know if with the butterfly or with the blades and the speed and the time.
Thank you very much in advance, or a capon for the disaster of my diet because with the delicious things you do there is no gypsy who can resist. Just kidding.

    1.    Silvia said

Cristina, you crush the ice cream with the blades, like 20 seconds at speed 5 and you are looking to see if it looks good on you or if it needs to be crushed a little more, you can even increase the speed.

  16.   Elia said

    Hello Silvia,

The recipe looks great, like all the ones you publish. My comment is to ask you a question, my young son is allergic to PLV, so he cannot take ANYTHING that has milk, do you think it is possible to change the butter for 100% vegetable margarine and soy milk instead of the cow, would anything edible come out? I can't find any recipe for ice cream without milk, and at two and a half years old I already feel sad when the rest of us eat something and he asks ... Do I "fart"? If you could tell me a recipe for ice cream without milk ... I would appreciate it. I have seen the publication of the watermelon slush, we will try it with it too, although my idea was somewhat creamy ...
    Thank you very much,
    Elia

    1.    Silvia said

Elia, I would try as you tell me with margarine and soy. I think it can go well. Also tell you that in Mercadona there is a vegetable cream suitable for lactose allergies, I have not tried to make any ice cream but you could try to see how it works.

      1.    Sarah Fernandez said

I have tried the vegetable cream of Mercadona (because I have a milk allergy) to make the ice creams and they come out delicious!

        1.    Silvia said

Thanks Sara for your contribution !!!

We will try to get more light recipes, but what I always try is to make desserts with sweetener, I will reduce calories somewhat.

  18.   Lou said

    Hello,
Congratulations on the blog. I've been looking for the essence of vanilla everywhere (Mercadona, Carrefour, El Corte Inglés ...) but I can't find it. Is it feasible to replace it with something else?

    Thank you!

    1.    Silvia said

Swap it out for vanilla sugar, or something that flavors vanilla.

  19.   VICTORIA said

Hi! I already want to make the ice cream. But I have a question: what cornstarch is it? The one that puts flour or the one that thickens? Thanks!

    1.    Silvia said

The one that puts fine corn flour

  21.   snows said

Mmmmm, but what a recipe !!!! I have to try it as soon as I can, and I will make the amount that I want to try to make the shakes that were at McDonald's, do you remember them ???? If things work out well for me, I'll tell you so you can try them !!! Thank you!!!!

  23.   veronica said

Hi Silvia. I'm new to this, but I see that everyone speaks very well. One question, does the ice cream not crystallize?. One kiss, congratulations. Thank you.

    1.    Silvia said

No Veronica, it looks very good. But I recommend that in ice creams you use the invert sugar recipe that you can see on the blog, as it helps them not to crystallize and to be creamier.

  24.   inma said

Hi cute! Congratulations on the blog, I love it. Right now I am repeating the ice cream, the other one I did was a triumph! In case anyone is interested, I make them with Mercadona whites, so I don't like coconut with the yolks, and it's perfect !!!!
Much encouragement and continue like this !!!

    Good Morning!!
I really like your recipes. Yesterday I made the ice cream, and I don't know what went wrong, but there was no one who ate it. Is the cornstarch you use an envelope? 30gr are 5 envelopes !!!! I think that was what failed me.

Thanks for the help and a kiss to all.

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Hello Sandra, the cornstarch is corn flour and it comes in a large package (250gr, 500gr ...) and you are pouring tablespoons, I leave you the photo of the package so you can see it, they are not individual envelopes:

You can find it in any supermarket, in the flour area. Lucky!!

  29.   Irenearcas said

Hello Pakote, about 3 hours in the fridge is enough. But remember that before putting it in the fridge, the mixture has been tempered, okay? You will tell us how are you!

  30.   Maria Perez said

Once cold I can butter it in the fridge

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

No, you don't need to keep it in the fridge! This type of ice cream is frozen and before serving it, you crush it a little with the blades, about 20 seconds at speed 5.

It is very creamy and so rich!

Try it and tell us, okay?

  31.   Mamen said

When do you put the invert sugar?

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hi Mamen,

If you use invert sugar, put it in the first step but remember, only 25% white sugar is usually substituted for inverted ... so for this recipe it would be: 75 white sugar and 25 invert sugar.

      Kisses!!
