Mini tuna dumplings with tomato

Today we are going to treat ourselves with these mini tuna dumplings. The dough does not have eggs so they are perfect for people with intolerance to this ingredient.

I have made them tiny, using a round cookie cutter almost eight centimeters in diameter. You can make them larger or even make an empanada. If you opt for the large empanada I suggest that you double the ingredients, both the dough and the filling.

The surface is not painted with egg, I have simply sprinkled a little flour on the surface. Another option is to paint them with milk.

Ingredients

For the mass:

  • 200 g of flour and a little more for the surface
  • 35 g olive oil
  • 75 g of water
  • 1 / 2 teaspoon salt

For the filling:

  • About 120 g canned tuna, drained
  • The pulp of a grated tomato
  • Aromatic herbs
  • Ground pepper
  • Sal Island

Preparation

  1. We put the flour, oil, water and salt in the glass. We program 20 seconds, spike speed. We use the spatula to lower whatever is stuck to the walls of the glass and program again. 20 seconds, spike speed.

  2. We spread the dough well with a rolling pin. To help us spread it, we can divide it into parts and put it on baking paper to avoid staining. We have to leave it very finite.

  3. We form discs with a cookie cutter measuring 8 centimeters in diameter.

  4. On each disc we put a little canned tuna, grated tomato, a little salt, aromatic herbs and ground pepper. We close the empanadas, sealing them with our fingers. If you want them to have the shape you see in the photo, you just have to join the ends once we have closed them.

  5. We place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Sprinkle a little flour on the surface of the dumplings.

  6. We bake at 180º for approximately 35 minutes, until we see that they are baked.
