Onion jam

If we put it in toasts it serves as appetizer. But we can also use it to enrich sandwiches, sandwiches or hamburgers. And, of course, it is very good as a garnish to any type of meat.

It is made with onion, apple and sugar. To prepare the one you see in the photo I have used muscovado sugar, the purest and most natural, hence its dark color. Using white sugar the color of the jam is much lighter.

If you are interested in making it good as well as being beautiful, try making it with white sugar and red onion, you will love it.

Ingredients

• 100 g of apple, peeled and in pieces of about 2 centimeters
• 250 g onion, thinly sliced
• 130 g of chewed sugar
• 15 g lemon juice

Preparation

1. We put the apple in the glass. We program 5 seconds, speed 5. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass.

2. Add the chopped onion, the sugar and the lemon juice. We program 16 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

3. We remove the cup from the lid and put the basket. We program 8 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 1.

4. Now we put it in a container and let it cool. It is consumed cold.

Notes

We can also add 25 g of balsamic vinegar when we add the onion and lemon. If you want to preserve it under vacuum, in sterilized jars, it is important that you put this ingredient.

If after those 8 minutes of section 3 we see that it is still very liquid, we can program two more minutes at varoma temperature, speed 1.
