Piquillo peppers stuffed with chicken with tomato sauce

Piquillo peppers stuffed with chicken with tomato sauce is a recipe with a smooth and rich flavor. A very complete dish

I have filled in with all the shredded chicken and the filling is like thick béchamel, full of flavor and ideal for filling the piquillo peppers.

They are also perfect if we leave the chicken cut into cubes. I have tried both ways and they remain just as rich.

So that these chicken stuffed piquillo peppers are a little lighter I have not battered them, but if you want they can be battered by passing them through flour and egg and then we fry them as we have done in this other recipe.

Hi, I'm going to make these peppers tomorrow and I'll tell you the result. They look very good ...

Hi Elena, I hope you like them. You will have already seen in the recipe that I made them completely shredded but you can make them with the chicken in pieces. You will tell me. All the best.

I did them too, but the filling came out too loose, nothing to do with the ones in the photograph, I don't know what's wrong with me, but some things don't turn out the same

        1.    Elena said

Cali, I was left with a dough like béchamel, a soft cream, neither too loose nor hard. I have also made them with chicken in cubes and they have been phenomenal. Not that this could happen. Anyway, it is not a hard dough, as you can see in the photo, it comes out of the pepper and it looks like a béchamel. Try adding less water, about 300gr. and it will be thicker. All the best.

I have a doubt the chicken is raw or previously cooked a greeting and thank you very much

    1.    Elena said

Hello Begoña, the chicken is raw. I hope you like it, as I mention in the recipe, you can make them with the filling completely crushed or that the chicken pieces are noticeable. Greetings and Happy Holidays!.

Hello girls, I am making this recipe and it looks delicious, but I find myself with a little problem, when I fill the peppers and put them on the tray, the content of the pepper comes out ……. is there any trick ?? I'm still a little newbie at this… .. Thank you !!

    1.    Elena said

Hello Inma, as you can see in the photo it comes off a bit, a trick is to close the pepper by pricking it from top to bottom with a toothpick. I hope you like them. All the best.

Hello. I read many of your recipes but I have not yet decided to use the thermomix. It may start with this. But my question is whether the piquillo peppers are eaten hot or can they also be eaten cold. Thanks.

    1.    Elena said

Hi Angela, they are hot. When cold, the sauce does not look good. All the best.

Hello again, I wanted to ask you if the flour is from pastry or another? Can the water be substituted for chicken broth (350ml) and not put the bouillon cube? And finally, as I am always in a hurry, can I make the peppers at noon and the sauce make it right at night when we go to dinner so that it is freshly made? Thank you very much again

    1.    Elena said

Hello Carmen, it is normal flour and of course you can use chicken broth. They will be richer for you. It's a good idea to make the peppers at noon and the salsa at night. I hope you like them. All the best.

  15.   Carmen said

Hello Elena! They came out great, very rich, the sauce thick but creamy even though I use pastry flour. Next time I will use wheat, which is also richer ... but come on, we loved them that way. Soft, tasty ... and easy. Thanks for your help.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Carmen, we also like them a lot, besides I usually vary and sometimes I make them with minced chicken and other times in pieces. Greetings and I am very happy that you liked them.
