Sweet ricotta and bitter orange

Today is a sweet recipe but one of those easy, easy ones. We are going to use two sheets of puff pastry, the one they sell in the refrigerated area.

As a filling for the glass to put a ricotta cream and jam of bitter orange that we will prepare in the glass itself.

Ricotta and bitter orange puff pastry

Ingredients

  • 80 g de azúcar blanquilla
  • 450 g of ricotta
  • 60 g bitter orange marmalade
  • 2 round sheets of fresh puff pastry

Preparation

  1. We take the puff pastry out of the refrigerator.

  2. We put the sugar in the glass and program 10 seconds, speed 10. We reserve a little of this sugar (a tablespoon) because we will put it on the surface of our puff pastry once baked. The rest of the sugar we keep in the glass.

  3. We also put the ricotta and jam in the glass. We program 20 seconds, speed 4. We will get a cream.

  4. Unroll the puff pastry sheets. We put one of those sheets on a baking tray (leaving the baking paper on the base). On that plate we put the ricotta cream and spread it well without reaching the edge.

  5. Cover with the other sheet of puff pastry.

  6. With the demos we form some folds to join both sheets. We can also use a fork.

  7. With a knife we ​​make the marks of what the portions will be. 

  8. Bake at 200º (preheated oven) for approximately 15 minutes or until we see that the surface is golden.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool. 

  10. Before serving, once cold, sprinkle icing sugar on the surface.

Notes

It is important that the ricotta is very compact. If it had liquid we would have to strain it so as not to put it in the glass.
