For birthday parties, snacks with friends, excursions ... this savory cake is suitable for everything. In the video that you will find at the end of the recipe you will see how easy it is to form those roses that can be seen in the photos.

Today we have filled it with ham and green olives but it can be filled with other ingredients. Here are some ideas of possible combinations:  tuna and natural tomato, pear and gorgonzola, Hash…

To prepare the dough we will use 5 grams of dry baker's yeast. We can put less quantity if we increase the times of rise.

A very colorful salty cake with which to surprise our family or guests. The filling is ham and olives but we can put other ingredients.

Ingredients

For the mass:

  • 90g milk
  • 20 g of sugar
  • 5 g dry baker's yeast
  • 100 g of natural yogurt
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 10 g of salt

For the filling

  • 120 g of cooked ham
  • 100 g of olives

Preparation

  1. We put the milk, sugar and yeast in the glass. We program 3 minutes, 37º, speed 2.

  2. We add the yogurt, the flour, the egg and the salt. We program 3 minutes, spike speed.

  3. We remove the dough from the glass and form 1 ball. We put it in a bowl, cover it with a plastic wrap and let it rise for about two hours.

  4. When that time has passed we put the cooked ham in the glass. We bite it during 5 seconds at speed 6. We take out the ham and reserve it.

  5. Now we put the pitted olives in the glass and program again 5 seconds, speed 6. We take out and reserve.

  6. With the help of a rolling pin, we spread the dough into a rectangle.

  7. We put the ham and chopped ham and the olives on the extended dough.

  8. We roll the dough at the widest part.

  9. With a knife we ​​cut portions of 2 or 3 centimeters.

  10. We prepare a mold of approximately 26 centimeters in diameter.

  11. We place the portions (roses) in the mold leaving a small space between each rose.

  12. Cover with film and let it rise for approximately 1 hour.

  13. After that time we remove the plastic and bake at 190º (preheated oven) for 30 or 35 minutes.

Notes

If we have time we can reduce the amount of yeast and increase the rising times.

We can paint the surface of the salty cake with beaten egg, just before putting it in the oven.
