Today we will prepare a cake with margarine because, in my opinion, the best thing we can do in the kitchen is to vary the choice of ingredients.

It has a fairly neutral flavor if we use Greek yogurt natural. But try it also with a flavored greek yogurt strawberry or banana… the result will be different and it will be just as delicious. It does not have a lot of sugar so that it is not cloying so you can increase the amount if you have a sweet tooth.

Preparing it will not take us more than 10 minutes. The oven will take care of the rest.

Ingredients

  • 100 g of sugar and two more tablespoons for the surface
  • The skin of 1 lemon (only the yellow part)
  • 100 g of margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 20g milk
  • 160 g of Greek yogurt (plain or some flavor)
  • 250 g of flour (we can mix white flour with whole wheat flour)
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 1 envelope of yeast royal type

Preparation

  1. We preheat the oven to 175 ° and prepare a mold 22 centimeters in diameter, smearing it with margarine and then sprinkling a little flour on top.

  2. We put the sugar and the yellow part of the lemon skin in the glass. We program 10 seconds, speed 10. We lower with the spatula what has been adhered to the walls of the glass.

  3. We add the margarine and program 20 seconds, speed 4.

  4. Add the eggs, milk and Greek yogurt. We program 1 minute, speed 3.

  5. Now add the flour, cornstarch and yeast. We program 30 seconds, speed 4.

  6. We put the mixture in the mold that we have prepared at the beginning.

  7. Sprinkle the surface with the two tablespoons of white sugar.

  8. Bake at 175 ° for approximately 40 minutes or until it is well cooked inside (we can check it with a toothpick) and the surface is golden brown.

  9. We remove from the oven and, when it is warm, we unmold it.
