We can now find the grapes at a good price so, what do you think if we prepare a cake with this ingredient?

El secreto so that the grapes remain on the surface, as seen in the photo, is to put some of them when the cake has already been in the oven for 15 minutes. In the preparation section you have all the details.

For the rest, the ingredients are simple: flour, oil, yeast... and as a result we obtain a perfect fruit cake for the picnic.

A sponge cake with seasonal fruit, very easy to make in the Thermomix and perfect for an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 50 g olive oil
  • 50 g of sunflower oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 140 g of sugar
  • 120g milk
  • The grated skin of 1 lemon (only the yellow part)
  • 290 g of wheat flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 10 g Royal type baking yeast
  • 280 g white grape (I have removed the seeds)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180º. We grease a cake mold of about 22 or 24 centimeters in diameter (better if it is removable).

  2. We weigh the oil and reserve it.

  3. We fit the butterfly in its position. Put the eggs and sugar in the bowl. We program 3 minutes, 37º, speed 4.

  4. We schedule below 1 minute, speed 4 and, at that minute, we are pouring the oil through the mouth, around the beaker so that it falls slowly.

  5. Add the milk, the grated lemon peel, the flour, the salt and the yeast. We program 5 seconds, speed 3 1/2.

  6. We remove the butterfly and finish integrating everything with the spatula.

  7. We put the dough in our mold and distribute half of the grape, cut into halves and without seeds. We bake during 15 minutes at 180º.

  8. After those 15 minutes we put the rest of the grapes on the surface of the cake, also in halves and without seeds. We continue baking for another 30 minutes, still at 180º.

  9. We check that it is well baked and, when it is, we take it out of the oven.

  10. Let cool and ready to serve.

Notes

We can grate the skin of the lemon before starting with the recipe. We put only the yellow part in the glass and grate it programming 7 seconds, speed 10. We can also activate several turbo strokes.
