Cauliflower with tartar sauce is a recipe with a very rich combination of flavors. On the one hand we have the mild flavor of the cooked cauliflower and, on the other, the touch of the pickles of the sauce that are great for it.

The truth is cauliflower is one of the vegetables that I like the most and I love battered and accompanied by some sauce. Although for avoid excess calories from batters I prefer to cook it. Thus, it is a perfect dish to take care of ourselves.

Also preparing it steamed in the varoma I get its perfect point in texture and flavor.

A recipe for preparing a vegetable-based dinner.

Ingredients

For the cauliflower:

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1 l. of water

For the tartar sauce:

  • 2 pickles in vinegar
  • 2 small onions in vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of capers
  • 1 sprig of parsley or chopped parsley
  • 200 g mayonnaise

Preparation

  1. We pour the water into the glass and program 10 minutes, varoma temperature and speed 1.

  2. Meanwhile, we are separating the cauliflower into florets, wash them and place them in the varoma container.

  3. At the end of the 10 minutes, we remove the beaker and place the varoma container in its position. We close well and schedule 20 minutes, varoma temperature and speed 3.

    If this time has finished, it seems to us that it is still to our liking, we program 4-5 more minutes, varoma temperature and speed 3.

  4. We reserve the cauliflower in a bowl, while we make the sauce.

    We discard the water and dry the glass with kitchen paper.

  5. We put in the glass all the ingredients of the sauce and we crush them during 30 seconds, at speed 3 1/2.

  6. We serve the cauliflower cold or warm with this sauce.

    Too bad I don't like cauliflower but the tartar sauce I write is delicious.
