Mango and banana semi-cold cake

La semi-cold mango and banana cake it is fresh and with an intense flavor of tropical fruit. So if you like mango and banana, I recommend it because it is delicious, especially if it is very cold.

It is made with cookie base, fruit mousse and topped with a homemade fruit jelly. It can be made from any fruit, although the combination that I propose is delicious.

It's better to do it One day to another so that it is more curdled, more consistent and especially so that it is very cold.

Hi Elena, how is mango pulp made, or where could I buy it?

        1.    Elena said

Hi Rachi, you have to buy a mango at the greengrocer. It is easy to peel it. The pulp is the flesh of the mango, it is the fruit. All the best.

  3.   maria said

Hello, I would like this cake and I do not know what the pulp of the mango is, could you help me.
    Thank you.

    1.    Elena said

María, you have to peel the mango and add the meat. Be careful because it has a big bone. When I say pulp I mean the flesh of the mango. All the best.

      1.    maria said

Thank you very much because I am new to this thermomix and I thought that the pulp was something else, again thank you very much.

Hello Elena. Thank you very much for your recipes, they all look very good. I would like to make this cake but I have some doubts. Would neutral gelatin work instead of gelatin sheets? Do you think mango with orange would be good, instead of banana? All the best

    1.    Elena said

What a good idea the mixture of mango and orange! I think it will be delicious, it seems like a perfect combination. Yes, you can use neutral gelatin and in case you don't know, one envelope corresponds to 6 gelatin sheets, but I like gelatin sheets better. I hope you get it right. Greetings, Maria.

Hello Elena, I have made several cakes on your blog and now my eyes are going behind this one and also today is one of these times that you have all the ingredients at home. My problem is that it is fatal for me to mount the cream in the thermomix I must leave it longer than necessary and it cuts me and no matter how much I look through the mouth and do it again and again it never seems to me that it is strong enough to stop. Could you give me some advice to be able to whip the cream and thus make this delicious cake ??? (By the way, yesterday I made the one with grapes and cheese, I'll tell you later when we try it to see how it turned out.)

        Thank you so much.

        1.    Elena said

Hi Lana, I add a tablespoon of Philadelphia cheese and it is very good. Regarding time, the truth is that I am waiting to look at it through the mouth and as soon as I see that it is almost there, I stop it, if it needs more time I will add a few in a few seconds. If you do, I hope you like it. All the best.

Hello, I have had the thermomix for a long time, but I did not know how to use it, I only used it for 4 things and since I found you I am delighted, I am going to make the mango and banana cake, I will be able to find the jelly in Mercadona or I will have to go to Another bigger shopping center, thanks for being there, ah, you could send me recipes for sorbets to make on the go, thank you.

    1.    Elena said

Hello María del Mar, you can buy gelatin at Mercadona. I think there is in all supermarkets, it is easy to find. I hope you like the cake, you will tell me. All the best.

  7.   Nuria said

I had a doubt, the three-quarters of a glass of mixture that we reserve for the top layer of the cake, do you have to keep in the refrigerator? Thank you:)

    1.    Elena said

Hello Nuria, you don't have to put it in the fridge since then you have to warm it up a bit. All the best.

I made this cake on Thursday, and we ate it on Saturday, and the truth is that it was delicious, it was a success. The only thing is that the mango only, since in my house we are not very banana. Thank you very much, and I encourage you to continue, a little kiss

Hello Elena, I love all the recipes that you publish. I have already tried several and all of them are very good. Now I have decided to make the mango and banana cake for my husband's birthday on Thursday, and I have a question. The other day I was in lidl and I bought the mango in syrup because I did not realize that the recipe included raw mango pulp. Do you think this handle will look good on me? ? And since it will be sweeter, I imagine that I will have to add less sugar, right? How much have I made? I hope it turns out well and thanks a lot for the recipes.

    1.    Elena said

Hello María Jesús, it is better that you use mango in natural fruit so that it does not have so much water, but you can drain it well and it will serve you well. You can use the mango in syrup for the «tropical mango cake», it is delicious: http://www.thermorecetas.com/2011/03/21/Receta-Postres-Thermomix-Tarta-tropical-de-mango/
Greetings and I hope your husband likes it.

Hello Elena, today I have decided to make the mango and banana cake and the truth is, I don't know what happened, but by joining the cream with the fruit, following all the steps ... the mousse has been cut and it has gone bad. It was a shame because it had a very rich flavor ... What do you think happened? Well I am not discouraged, and I will try again another day .. greetings to all. See you soon.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Mary, the cream has been cut I suppose that by contrast of temperatures, I think that may be why. Try again and tell me. All the best.

    Hello Elena.
When you say "From this mixture, we will set aside 3/4 of a glass, to make the top layer of the cake." , I have too much mixture left to put on top of the cake. All the best

  12.   MARI CARMEN said

I like this type of recipe, I plan to make it, but I doubt the amount of gelatin. 1 sheet for the 3/4 preparation and 8 jojas for the 1/4. I need to confirm THANKS

    1.    Ascend said

      Hi Mari Carmen,
It is about making all the mixture of ingredients that you put in the recipe and, from the result, separating a little bit in a glass (exactly 3/4 of the glass, not the total preparation). To what you have set aside is what you add the gelatin sheet.
To the challenge of the preparation, which is quite a lot, you add the 8 hydrated gelatin sheets.
I hope I solve your doubt.
      Regards, Ascen
