Thanks Irene, you are a sun! And to think that a month ago you were the one who told me where to look for a recipe blog and now I'm so excited making mine, it seems crazy, but I'll try not to fail you.
A very strong little kiss and keep giving me your points of view, which is great for me.

    Very good blog …… ..

    Is there lactose-free chocolate?

    1.    Elena said

Hello Pilar, I think they sell it online. At Mercadona there are lactose-free chocolate shakes. I have seen it in medieval markets. All the best.

Hello girls, two years ago I bought the thermomix and I had never used it so much since I found this blessed blog, I have some questions to ask you and I hope you give me the solution to my doubts ...
    1) where do i get a blood orange in tenerife ????
    2) my baby turns his first year on November 12 and I would like to prepare the train cake that you have but I see it so complicated I think it is because of the way of cutting the pieces of the cake or that I do not understand it, can you explain it to me? ?
Thank you both very much for this fantastic blog.
    kisses from maria

    1.    Elena said

Hello Maria, do not worry about the blood orange, use the normal juice oranges and you will see how delicious.
With regard to the train cake, you have to cut the cake into rectangular pieces. For a wagon, you need a rectangular piece of sponge cake plus other pieces of the same size to put it on top, but removed the inside (leaving only the edges, that is, it remains hollow), which is where the sweets will go. I hope I have explained myself well, the truth is that it is much easier to do than to explain.
Thank you very much for seeing us.

I think I'm going to decide on this cake! But, a doubt, .. what is the blood orange? Can I have a regular orange? Do I put it peeled or with skin included? Thanks!!!

    1.    Silvia said

María I always do it with normal oranges, but the day I published that photo they had given me some blood oranges and I did it with those. Do it with the normal ones that comes out delicious.

Before starting to make the cake, could you tell me at what temperature to keep it in the oven for 30 minutes… ..thanks a thousand !!

    1.    Elena said

Hello Virginia, it is baked at 180º and the time is approximate because it depends on the type of oven. I hope you like it. All the best.

Well, I'm hallucinating, thank you for having this great page, I recommend it to all my friends, I have had the thermomix for 3 years and now is when I am using it I have made potatoes with ribs to eat (I have added a jet of white wine and a little fried tomato, before adding the potatoes) and now I have the black and white chocolate flan in the fridge, I am also going to prepare for tonight a grilled fish with the potato garnish that comes in the The thermomix book, I am very happy and my family asks every day: you have also done it with the thermomixxxxxx ……… kisses. Thank you very much for everything; I wanted to ask what kind of mold do you use for this cake and if it is aluminum if you grease it with butter before; ah! The sugar you pour on top is normal or icing? Thank you a thousand.

    1.    Silvia said

I usually use a plum-cake and I put baking paper on it to later unmold it more easily and the sugar I put in is normal.

EXQUISITE!!!!! I have done it this morning, and as soon as it has cooled down, and I was the first to sink my teeth into it, I am looking forward to the kids coming out of school to try it, and I put a normal orange, and the taste is incredible, a normal mold With a sheet of plastic wrap underneath, it allows you to unmold it without difficulty, thanks for your recipes, I have had the thermo for a long time, but I do not use it as it should, I hope to cheer up with you !!! a greeting

Ana Maria, what did your little ones think of the bun? I hope you have loved it. It is my oldest daughter's favorite.

    hello silvia and elena:
tell you that the first time I send you a message, although I'm already addicted to
your blog, I love your recipes and they always come out perfect.
I have had the thermomix since December and I get many recipes from here. One of the first ones I made was this orange cake, then I made others, but none like this one. I encourage you to continue like this and if you allow me a suggestion, can you make more recipes for stews and pasta? if it is possible that they "spread" because there are 4 of us in the family and the children already devour. greetings and continue. merche

    1.    Elena said

Hello Merche, I am very happy that you like our blog. We will try to put more recipes for stews and pasta. In a few days we will publish a very good bean recipe. I hope you like it. All the best.

Hello Silvia and Elena, I wanted to congratulate you on this cake, I thought that after the orange cake, nothing could beat its flavor, but this cake, we all loved it. On Sundays, the family got together and the cake was all the rage , very spongy and with a great flavor. Congratulations again at two o'clock, we will continue trying recipes, a hello.

Monica, I am very glad that you liked it. In my family it is also the cake par excellence.
      All the best

Hello again, I have forgotten a little question about the orange cake, I wanted to ask you, if you have done something special, so that the orange streaks in the cake can be seen when breaking it as seen in the photo. I was not seen, thank you very much and greetings.

    1.    Silvia said

Monica, I used this photo for a challenge on a friend's blog and had to do bun presentations. I sprinkled some liquid caramel on top to garnish the plate and that's why it looks like this.

  15.   monica said

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, okay. Well, I'll be a pastry shop, what do you do !! Thank you very much, a kiss

  16.   silvia said

Hello girls, yesterday I made your sponge cake and it's great, I only have one doubt, it went up a little, although it was very tender and I don't know if it is that when using gluten-free flour the measurements change a bit. Thanks for everything.

    1.    Silvia said

Silvia, I will consult this question with my brother-in-law, in case he can contribute something to me. Well, my niece is celiac and my brother-in-law usually makes this cake for her. Although it is true that I do not know if it will be because of that flour but it does not come out as high as when we do it with normal flour.
      All the best

HELLO I HAVE NOT MADE THIS CAKE BUT I GAVE A FRIEND THE RECIPE AND I COMMENT TO ME THAT I BITTEN A LITTLE, I IMAGINED THAT IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE ORANGE SHELL, PLEASE TELL ME IF IT IS NORMAL I DIDN'T KNOW TO ANSWER MY FRIEND, BUT TODAY I THINK TO DO IT AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY TRICK TO DON'T BITTER. THANK YOU, YOUR BLOG IS GREAT.

    1.    Silvia said

The truth is that it is not usually bitter, but it is also true that there are different types of oranges, some sweeter and others bitter, and perhaps you were unlucky enough to use one that will bitter. Try it because it is generally terrific.

Silvia, how can I make this cake without eggs?

    Thank you very much

    1.    Silvia said

Elena, I have not made this cake without eggs, but try this one that, as it has orange juice, is similar and without eggs.

If I wanted to make this same one, but also with chocolate, how much chocolate and what kind would I have to add? I have seen the recipe for muffins but I like this more x the yogurt. I want to take him to school for my little boy's birthday. Ahhhh, I have done it as is and great.

    1.    Silvia said

Elo I have not tried to make it with chocolate inside but this cake is usually made by my brother-in-law as is and then he puts a chocolate coating on it. He lets it cool, I even think he puts it in the fridge and it tastes great fresh with the chocolate and the juicy sponge cake inside.

      1.    ELO said

        Ahhhhh… .. I'll try it. Thanks

  21.   Noelia said

Hello, I am delighted with you and with thermomix. I have had it for a very little while and I still feel a little "duck". Today that I have a little time I wanted to try making this cake, my children love chocolate, please can you tell me how to make the chocolate topping, is it black or can it be made with milk chocolate? Is it added hot? So much grace

    1.    Silvia said

Noelia, I leave you the link of this cake in which I make the chocolate coating. http://www.thermorecetas.com/2010/10/27/receta-thermomix-tarta-halloween/

The orange cake is not finished for me. It does not come out fluffy. It is raw inside. I have done it as you say in the recipe.
    Has it happened to you?

    1.    Virtues said

Hello Sara, it can be from the oven, the baking times that we indicate in the recipes are indicative, since they depend on the type of oven we have, next time change the time or temperature, put the one you normally put when making the cakes.
      You will tell us.

  23.   monica said

It comes out delicious, I also added orange marmalade and chocolate coating on top.
