Old cheese, bacon and mushroom pizza

At home we love pizzas, especially my eldest daughter. Before we bought them frozen or we ordered them from a well-known franchise, but since I have Thermomix® we love to make them at home.

The dough is very simple to make, it is prepared in a moment and it remains delicious.

Although the best thing is that we can use the ingredients we want. In this case we have made it with old cheese Old Amsterdam®, which is a Dutch cow's milk cheese with a special curing process that makes it delicious, bacon and mushrooms ... great !.

And remember that the mass can be frozen.

Hello, I am new to the mix, but I have discovered this website and I love it, I have already made several of your recipes and I am really delighted. I loved this one, but I have a question, where can I find the strength flour? is it a special flour ?? Thank you very much and congratulations for your recipes.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Marisa, thank you very much for seeing us and I hope you continue to like our recipes.
There is strength flour in almost all large supermarkets. I buy it at Mercadona, Carrefour or El Corte Inglés (Super Cor).
      A greeting.

Hello Elena and Silvia. I've been following you for a long time and wanted to congratulate you on the blog. I have made some of your recipes and they are great (the orange cake has been a success at home :)). If you don't mind, I have referenced you on my blog. Thank you very much and I will continue to enjoy your ideas, like this pizza. The same thing happened to us: it was learning how to make pizza dough with the tmx, and no pizza from outside has come into the house anymore 🙂

Thank you very much and I hope you continue to like our recipes. Ah! and thank you very much for referring us on your blog.

I saw it yesterday in Mercadona! It's funny how before I didn't know many things and now it turns out that almost everything is in Mercadona… and everything sounds familiar to me! I hope to make this recipe soon, today I have dough but not that cheese ... by the way, what do you grease the baking tray with? I was thinking of putting greaseproof paper ... and did you leave the pizza too thin? once I tried it and it was not quite done, and since I am new I have my little doubts ... thank you!

      1.    Irene said

Hello Almus, the baking tray can be spread with olive oil or directly sprinkled with flour generously. The thickness of the pizza varies according to taste, I particularly like them thin and I bake it at 230º in the lowest height of the fan oven until it is done (it will take about 10-12 minutes). If you like it thicker, simply put it at the intermediate height and at 200º for 15 minutes. Anyway, before taking it out, look at how it is underneath and you will know if it is ready or not. You will tell us!

  5.   ana said

It will be a lot to ask ... but could you tell me a cheese that looks like the one you mentioned to make the pizza? I usually buy at Mercadona .... Thank you very much for all your ideas .... how easy you make it for us !!!!!

    1.    Silvia said

Ana this cheese is a very cured sheep cheese, you can use any that is cured. I even think they sell it in mercadona.

  6.   Elena said

Hi Alexandra. I would make the orange cake and the rice with tuna. You'll see how easy and how delicious. Anyway, look at the Index of Recipes that surely there are many very easy ones. All the best.

Yesterday I made this pizza for dinner, and I was very successful, the dough was thin, very crispy. The pizzas he made before, with a recipe from the Thermo book, were thicker, and he didn't let it sit closed for half an hour.
I think it has improved a lot, and the combination of cheese and bacon, total.
    A kiss

    1.    Silvia said

I am glad Marién that you will like it. It is a pizza with a very good combination and the closed rest I think that as you say the improvement.
      All the best

  9.   jubilant89 said

Hello, I would like to make the pizza dough. I don't have flour, could I serve special flour for pizzas? And the yeast I have is powdered, could that be used?

    1.    Elena said

Hello Jubilo89, I think that you can make it with those ingredients, but the truth is that I have not tried them and I cannot assure you the result. I have always made it as stated in the recipe. If you do, tell me how are you? Greetings and Merry Christmas!.

  10.   Suzanne said

Can you post a recipe for dumplings to make the dough too? Thanks.

Hello Elena and Silvia, I discovered your blog not long ago and I am delighted with your recipes. When we make the pizza dough, is it better to put milk or water? or 50% water and 50% milk ?. In some book I have observed that they put milk. Thank you. Teresa

    1.    Silvia said

Teresa, the truth is that I always add water to the dough but I'm going to try it, because if you've seen it, it's sure to come out delicious. Thank you for your suggestion. When I try I will tell you. All the best

    2.    Elena said

Hello Teresa, I have tried it and it is very rich with half water and half milk. Try and tell me. All the best.

I think that, from today, this blog will become my most faithful ally 🙂

Regarding the dough for making pizza, I would like to know if I can make the dough and reserve it in the fridge (without freezing) until the next day, how long can it last in the fridge without freezing?
Thank you very much and congratulations on your excellent blog.

HELLO FRIENDS, THIS RECIPE WAS VERY GOOD FOR THE FILLING, BUT THE PIZZA DOUGH HAS STICKED ON THE OVEN TRAY, I PUT OIL ON THE TRAY. WHAT DO YOU ADVISE ME ?. A KISS, YOU HELP ME A LOT IN THE KITCHEN.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Mari Luz, I suppose it has to do with the tray and how greased it is. I use a non-stick pizza pan and they never stick to me. All the best.

Hi! I love your blog. How hooked I am!
I just made the pizza, how good! but the dough, once cooked, has not become rigid, but soft and everything on top was already toasted ... what should I do?

      1.    Elena said

Hi Cris, you can first put heat down in the oven so that the dough becomes more and then up and down. Greetings and I'm glad you like our blog.

Hello, I wanted to comment on something that happens to me lately every time I make the pizza dough, almost nothing rises, and I have little left inside when I take it out of the oven and I do not know why it can be, greetings!

    1.    Elena said

Hi Loida, bake it for a few minutes by herself in the oven before putting the filling. This is how it will be done for you. All the best.

  21.   Marieta said

Hello, we have just had some pizzas for dinner (it has been emptied of the refrigerator) it is the first time that I have made the dough, and I have been able to verify that it does go a long way, I have made all the dough because I am not sure when it should be frozen, If it is done as soon as the kneading is finished or do we have to wait for it to "rise"? If it is done just after finishing kneading, when it is defrosted does it have to "rise"? As you can see, my ignorance is total and I would appreciate it if you could clarify it for me, and so next time I freeze a part, we have loved how the dough is. Thank you very much for your recipes ... and for the walks we take to continue enjoying them.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Marieta, I freeze it before it rises. When I defrost it, I let it follow the same process of raising it indoors. It is perfect. Greetings and thank you very much for seeing us.

  22.   Eva said

I have pizza ready for dinner tonight… pint is 10 !! I occupy the entire baking tray, but I have used only half of almost all the ingredients of the filling (bacon, fried tomato, wedge of cheese) I think that putting everything would have been very recharged. Just one little thing, I am sorry to throw away the juice that remains of the oil, the onion and the mushrooms. Can you think of a recipe where to reuse it? I think that in a seafood soup it can be good, but have you made any? Thanks!

    1.    Elena said

Hi Eva, look in the index of recipes for "seafood soup" or "rice soup with clams", both are delicious. Greetings and I hope you liked the pizza. All the best.

      1.    Eva said

Elena la pizza in-cre-i-ble !!! Congratulations!! I think I will add the juice to the cooking broth of a rice, with the flavor of mushrooms it has to be great !. Now I have gotten involved with the pink panther arm, the bad thing is that my cream has been cut: (I will try to do it again. Salu2 !!

        1.    Elena said

I'm glad you liked it, Eva! You'll tell me about the pink panther arm. All the best.

  23.   inma said

Hello girls. Congratulations on the pad. I have a problem with all the pizza crusts I make. I wish you could help me. When I finish making the pizza, it has a slightly important "bitter" taste, which I attribute to the fresh yeast. And the truth is that I do not know the reason, because I make the recipe to the letter. Thank you.

    1.    Elena said

Thank you very much, Inma! I'm glad you like our blog. Regarding the dough, I don't know what can happen, it looks perfect on me. Try an envelope of baker's yeast instead of adding the fresh yeast, to see if that does not leave you with that bitter touch. All the best.

  24.   Immaculate Fernandez said

Hello Elena, I have read what happens to Inma and it happened to me once, the yeast was in bad condition, because it had been frozen for a long time. Elena, I would like to know how big or for how many people the pizza is, I haven't made it with these amounts, and that's why my son eats a whole one. Thank you very much, greetings.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Immaculate, it goes for two medium pizzas. All the best.
