Rice pudding cake

My mother loves the rice pudding. A couple of weekends ago, I had a family lunch and wanted to surprise her. In the vorwerk cookbook, I found this cake. So I considered this an auspicious occasion to give it to my mother.

It is easy to prepare, in an hour we have it prepared, and then for rest it is better to do it from one day to the next. It has a lot of cooking, but since the machine does it alone and we do not have to be aware, we can take advantage of it to clean up the kitchen, be with the little ones or other chores. That is, it is a recipe that it makes itself and the result is amazing.

When we finished eating, I took out the pie, and I didn't say what it was, I just said it was a rice cake. They made me look weird, but since my family is getting used to my "eccentric" recipes ... they resigned. But what a change of face, when they tried it, they could not believe the rice pudding in cake ...

Hello, virtues, the base of the cake, how do you do it?

  2.   ricardo said

Hi Vero, apparently the base was made from sobaditos, but in the recipe book that they give you with the thermo, there is a cake base recipe, in the Genovés sponge cake.

  3.   Silvia said

I'm already thinking of making it because at home they really like rice pudding and it will be a good dessert!

Thank you so much for this recipe! We are not Valencians, but my husband's rice drives him crazy! For the weekend I will do it, I also have a little food with the family! Simple to do and quick, so I'll tell you about it!

by the way, for which we have the old thermomix, the rice pudding goes with the butterfly. In this recipe, does it go without a butterfly? Thank you!

      1.    Virtues said

Hello Esther, better put the butterfly on it, lest the rice fall apart, a kiss.

If I don't want to make the cake, that is, when I make the rice, I put it in a bowl and let it rest. Could it be? I don't know if my husband would like it with cake, even though I'm going to try it 🙂

After preparing this magnificent cake, I see that something has gone WRONG.
The cake has been very liquid.
After inquiring through various sites regarding this recipe, I think the fault is, that
The cream that I added is the one that I normally use (37) and it must be (18), right?
In the recipe it does not indicate which is the good one. The butterfly does not set, does it?
Greetings and congratulations for such a magnificent page.

Hello Oscar, how sorry I am, but have you already had it at rest and it has not set? It's weird, I use 37 cream and it works for me, wouldn't you forget the gelatin? It happened to me once, and it was that, I didn't add the jelly ...

Good evening, this afternoon I made this cake, and it is still liquid. I guess I haven't done something right. I would appreciate your answer. I have used all the ingredients that they put; I have not put the butterfly because it is not specified, and the gelatin I had was powdered; I have put an envelope that is equivalent to 6 sheets, right? I have dissolved it in half a liter of water, a cold room and another boiling room (that was in the box). Thanks in advance.

    1.    Virtues said

Hello Mercedes, because the truth is that I could not tell you, about the gelatin, if it is in foil now I do not remember the amount that I say in the recipe ... ahhh ok it could be ... I would not have needed to dissolve it in the water, just pour it directly …. ainssss I hope you have curdled ...

  10.   ascenjimenez said

Hello Leo, let's see if I can solve those doubts ...
-The cream is mountable but not mountable, that is, pouring it as it comes in the bottle or on the brick (depending on the brand you can find it in both formats).
-The base does not need to be wet. You can also use sobaos or sponge cake.
-Virtudes does not mean that we have to let the rice pudding rest before assembling the cake. This will soak the milk into the base.
Tell us how it looks on you, okay? Everyone will love it for sure.
    Kisses!

Hello, how do I make the sobaos base? I do not know how to do it and stay together and do not strain the rice.

    1.    Ascen Jimenez said

Hi! In the base of the mold where you are going to make the cake, put all the spbaps together, one next to the other. If the mold is round, they will be hollow ... to cover them, do not hesitate to break the pieces and use the pieces you need to cover everything. Dessert has nothing to do with it but I leave you this link http://www.thermorecetas.com/2012/10/17/bomba-de-chocolate/ to give you an idea with these photos. I hope I've helped.
      Kisses!

I'm going to repeat it, I don't know if it has been sent well, hehe, I'm a bit stuck in this. I wanted to know how to make garnish rice, one day I tried it and for me it was the best rice eaten of my life, I don't have a thermomix one day I want to have it but while I manage with my blender the salmorejo comes out the same as the thermomix
