Rice soup with clams

This rice soup with clams is a recipe by Karlos Arguiñano adapted to our wonderful Thermomix®.

I love how he cooks, how well he explains it and how simple that makes. Before, for work reasons, I only saw him on vacation, but now that it is at 20.15pm, I do see him and I love it.

This is one of the recipes he has made and, apart from how delicious it looked, it was also simple to adapt to Thermomix®. He uses poultry stock, but it seems more appropriate to make it with fish stock.

I encourage you to try it because it is delicious. The next day I think I'll add some prawns and so I think it can be a perfect first course for the day of Christmas Since after a copious dinner on Christmas Eve you want a light but rich meal.

Hpla I wanted to ask you, I have the 21 th speed spoon, I don't have to set speed 1. thank you happy holidays ……………….

Hello Sandra, for the vel. spoon you have to put vel. 1 and if we say left turn, you have to put the butterfly on the blades. I hope you like it. Greetings and Merry Christmas!.

Hello, I wanted to ask you if when pouring the rice into the glass it is then clear without the basket? Well, that's what we put the butterfly for.
I asked you because sometimes when I put rice in the thermomix it has turned out better when I put the basket, than when I put it directly into the glass, thank you and happy new year.

Hi Aroa, I pour it directly into the glass and I really like how it looks. Try and tell me. Greetings and Happy 2011!

Hello to tod@s! Reading the recipe, I have had some doubts; what kind of rice do you recommend, the bomba? And when you say that you would add the prawns with the clams, it is to the varoma or already cooked and at the end of the recipe. Thank you very much for everything and for your time.

Hello Elena, I use SOS rice, it is the one I like the most. And the prawns have to be cooked and added last. If you do, I hope you like it. Greetings and Happy 2011!

    Hello Elena,
Last night I made the soup and it was the first recipe that I have made by myself in the Thermomix. They just gave it to me as a wedding present and I am very excited about it. Thank you very much for sharing it and congratulations on your wonderful blog. I will be commenting on the recipes as I make them.
    A hug,
    Pepe

Hello everybody!! I'm doing it right now. I go through the step of putting the clams in the varoma. An idea has occurred to me: since the prawns I have bought are frozen (I have already defrosted them with water) I have also put them in the Varoma container, on the upper tray, to see how they look. I hope I have not screwed up. I'll tell you ...
