Rice with ratatouille and poached eggs

Thermomix recipe Rice with ratatouille and poached eggs

This recipe for rice with ratatouille and poached eggs is very simple and almost everyone loves it. In addition, your Thermomix will make your preparation much easier, leaving you time to perform other tasks.

We have prepared this recipe, from start to finish in the varoma including poached eggs. The truth is that making them in the varoma they have turned out very good, and we have even noticed the recipe lighter, sitting great, since they do not carry so much fat.

You know the white rice in the basket comes out phenomenal, tasty and just right. You can use it to accompany other recipes as a delicious one skewer of meat and vegetables  or simply serve it with tomato sauce and sausages which is a recipe that drives children crazy.

Hello good, I'm new to this and I always make the recipes as it says here, but today I made white rice and there was a lot of quantity that I put because only the girl and I ate, so I did my accounts and put 175 grams of rice and 400 of water, but the rice has come out hard hard, my question is, is it always necessary to put 800gr of water is the amount of rice different? A clumsy learner jjijij.Thank you very much

    1.    Silvia said

Patricia if you had to have added the same amount of water, because the water is for cooking and the rice goes into the basket, so when you take it out, the water that you will have left is down and does not spoil the rice.
      Try again and tell me.
      All the best

a little question. At the end of the 12 min, do you put more varoma in the eggs? And how long do you leave it? Thanks greetings

    1.    Silvia said

No Inma, you don't have to wait 12 minutes for the water to heat up. We program 12 minutes and as soon as we see steam coming out of the cup, we remove the cup and place the varoma and the eggs will be made in those remaining minutes until the end of the programmed 12.
      All the best

hi, can I put some chips next to the eggs? Thank you

    1.    Silvia said

Mary in principle there would be no problem if you put the potatoes, the only thing that might take a little more time than the eggs. About 20 minutes or so.
      All the best

  6.   mary s. palms GC said

I have prepared the ratatouille with the chips served in the bottom of the source then the ratatouille and on top of the poached eggs, which have been a success because my husband cannot eat them fried and ummmm !!!!

What a good dish with potatoes, ratatouille and egg. I'm going to try this one. Thanks for the idea.

First of all, thank you very much for the recipes, they are easy and you are encouraged to use the thermomix. I have 2 questions.
I would like to put the natural tomatoes for the ratatouille, you can tell me the amount and the time and secondly, at home we like mince soup (ham, hard-boiled egg, chicken, white wine, etc.) as I can make it in the thermomix. Thank you.

    1.    Silvia said

Ana, for the amount of tomatoes you would have to cut the natural tomatoes into pieces, weighing them, until they weigh the 400 gr of the recipe and then crush them, if you like them that way.
I found you this recipe for picadillo soup. http://www.vorwerk.com/es/thermomix/html/recetas_thermomix,recipe,view,861,45,recipe-list_time–45.html

Hello, I would like to make the garnish rice, but with half the ingredients. How long do I have to put in and how many ingredients? Thanks.

    1.    Silvia said

Susana, if you want to make less, put half the ingredients but the time is the same for the rice to be made for you.

  9.   Rakel said

Hello girls, at home I usually make the ratatouille adding potatoes and aubergine, could I add it with the other vegetables or would it be too much? I am not a lot of vegetables but since I got pregnant I started eating them and after 2 years I continue to eat them, a miracle says my mother hahahaha, thanks again for all your recipes that are vice, ah there if you can help me with any meringues recipe, a little kiss.

    1.    Silvia said

Rakel, to make everything better for you, you can put the potatoes and the eggplant, cut into small cubes, in the varoma container and they will be done at the same time as the other vegetables and then when they finish everything together in a large bowl and it will be the same. of good.

Hello, the first thing to say is that I have had the thermomix for about 5 years and until now I had not used it, your blog IS GREAT, I am already an adipta I look at it every day.
The second I wanted to ask if I can make the eggs at the same time as the ratatouille is made to save time, you know… .. I'm mom
    Many Thanks

    1.    Silvia said

Juani, I am very happy with your words, that you have encouraged to take advantage of your thermomix thanks to our recipes. Regarding your question, of course you can make the eggs at the same time as the ratatouille. Have the eggs ready and when there are 12 minutes to go, put the eggs in the varoma and you will have everything at once.

  11.   carmen said

but what a delicious recipe. At home it has been a success! As there was some leftover ratatouille, today we will accompany it with cooked fish with some potatoes. Great, thanks again!

    1.    Silvia said

I'm glad you like it. I love ratatouille accompanying any dish and I love it with varoma fish.

A somewhat silly question, how is it to lay the eggs, and is it 12 min for all the eggs or is it 12 min for each egg?

Hello, a couple of times that I have made pisto, it comes out a little acid, do I add a little sugar?
    greetings and thanks

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Indeed, Paco, add a level spoonful of sugar and you will see how the problem is solved. Many times it depends on the type and brand of tomato we use. Thank you for writing us and for making our recipes! All the best.

In the ratatouille I put a bit of bicarbonate, instead of sugar, so the human kidney eliminates excess acids, It is better for diabetics
