Stew broth with chicken

Thermomix recipes stew broth with chicken

At home we are very broth. I think it runs in the family since my grandmother Juliana always made us some delicious broths with her bones, vegetables and "gallineja", as she said.

The truth is that when it is cold, a broth like this is always good. My daughters like it very much, they would be happy if there was soup every night and I am delighted to give them a Homemade broth made with natural ingredients and without preservatives or colorings.

It is very simple to do, we only need one stew preparation sold on trays in the supermarket. They bring several pieces to prepare broth, such as pork backbone, cured ham tip, Iberian pork belly, pork hand, sometimes they even bring chicken thigh or some other piece. I also add a quarter chicken plus a little celery and an onion.

We put all this in the basket and fill the glass with water. In one hour of cooking we have three liters broth. It is important, before making the broth, have the stew preparation in water to desalt it so that it is not too salty afterwards our broth.

The three liters of broth are made in two times in the glass. The first time I did it, when I tried the first broth, it tasted a bit “spiked” of salt and I added a small glass of water to reduce it to my daughters, without realizing that the second broth comes out more bland and therefore we have to put the two together to hit the sweet spot.

Es very practical to freeze this broth. So when you want to use it to make soups or other recipes, you just have to defrost it and ready to use.

If you want degrease it do it with a spoon when cold.

hello xicas, I usually make this recipe but in my quick cooker and I always put a couple of whole potatoes and carrots, my question is if you could put it in the thermomix because I don't think I could put it in the basket, thank you pretty girls.

    1.    Silvia said

Rakel in the basket is impossible because everything is so tight that there is no room. And under the basket there is almost no space to put it and also they would completely unravel.

Hello girls, I am delighted with your recipes, this is very simple, so you have to try it when you get rid of a doubt that I have, what is the pot preparation? Are you referring to the cooked preparation? Thank you.

    1.    Silvia said

Conchi, are some trays that are sold in supermarkets (mercadona, Ahorramás, hipercor, Carrefour ...) and usually have bones to prepare broth such as pork backbone, cured ham tip, Iberian pork belly, pork hand, sometimes they even bring some chicken like a chicken thigh ... Some trays are very large and will give you twice the amount of things that it brings. I then divide it in two and freeze a part of the bones to make the broth another time.

I also usually make broth and freeze it. My 4-year-old girl also likes fideitos, stars or little letters at night and I prefer to defrost the broth that I have made than to add the ones you sell that I don't even know what they have.
In the thermomix, everything I put on it wouldn't fit, that's why I do it in the express wave
    Thank you for the recipe

    a question:
When we put the water for the 2nd time, do we leave the same from the basket, or do we also put the new pot ???

    1.    Silvia said

With the second water, we leave the same preparation in the basket that we already had before.

  19.   Lola said

    Hello:
I do the same, but instead of buying a preparation, I put a chicken thigh and thigh, white bone or shin bone, a ham bone, 1/2 leek, 1/2 onion, celery, 1 garlic and a piece of small veal and a tip of churasita of salt.
It comes out great for me, I also do it in 2 parts, but I put everything whole again, except the ham bone that I take advantage of it and the leek and celery, but for the second time I don't put veal, just chicken. I find it very good and the best thing is that you don't have to be very careful to make it work without getting too focused.

    1.    Silvia said

Thank you very much Lola, for your great contribution I am sure that there will be many of us who will try your suggestion. All the best

Hello Silvia, I am a small town in the province of Huelva around here, the pot has been given many names: pot, pot, pot, stew, chicken and chicken broth etc ... and they all have chickpeas. In your recipe I have not read them, I see that perhaps you have another way to make a stew broth. Do you know around here pouting is an event always, that a relative is expected that is out, someone that gets sick, after a spree, in the DEL ROCIO pilgrimage it is together with the rebujito »wine and sevenup» what else I know Here, finally, it is the recipe that is always present in every house. If you include even 1 or 2 handfuls of chickpeas in your recipe and enhance the flavor of all the ingredients, I say, because I don't know the amount, for example at home I make big pots, my son is out and when he comes I do so that take your tapes. You will tell me .
    all the best

    1.    Silvia said

Immaculate, what enthusiasm I have seen seeing your comment about going to Rocio, that I don't know him, I really want to, and since you say a broth like that, sing to anyone. I think it is a great idea to add chickpeas. Let's see if I try next time. All the best

  26.   Immaculate Fernandez said

You will tell me. But even if you put a small amount, better fresh than already packaged, I put them d soak the night before if it is to consume in the morning, if not the opposite, I usually put 1K, then then I freeze it in bags, so I always have.
You know I have EL ROCIO at 30 ′ and we are not going but if you ever come through these places here you have your house for what is offered. a greeting

    1.    Silvia said

I'll test the recipe like this, and I'll tell you about it. Thank you very much for your offer, if I ever go to Rocio I will remember you. All the best

Hello, I can't fit the cup well, I do not fit all the things in the basket very well, is this the reason that the water comes out when it is boiling ?? .. now I have removed an ingredient, the cup fits And the water continues to gush out of the beaker. The amount of water I put in is the one that comes in the recipe. Is this normal? .. It is the first pot I make in my life, real newbie .. heh heh ..A kiss

    1.    Silvia said

If Silvia is true that sometimes it takes a little while to get all the ingredients in, you have to squeeze them a bit. Even so the water comes out a little when it is boiling, add a little less if it stains you a lot. Or remove the goblet and put the basket on top so it doesn't stain too much.

      1.    Silvia said

Hello, I did that in the end, I removed the cup and for the next time I will buy the supplies something smaller, I divided everything into two parts, because apart from the thigh, breast, I also had a piece of hock, as I did not trust that the meat was cooked Completely, I then passed it to the pressure cooker for about 15 min .. Well the result was magnificent! I thought my mother's broth seemed to me! She even told me that it was very good. You don't know how happy I was, My first stew! Thank you very much Silvia, really, thanks to this blog I am getting the most out of the thermos, I already made meatloaf, twice they come out delicious and my dwarf loves it, mushrooms in sauce, moouse of chocolate, lentils with chorizo and rice with sausage ... I'm cooking now what I never did. Thanks again, kisses.

Hello, you will see, I usually make a pot in the express pot. I have the thermomix but for this I prefer the pot. and I'll tell you how I do it and the fun that I get out of the pot. I put all the normal ingredients and I put the potatoes and carrots whole When it is done I take out the potato and carrot and put it in a colander, when it is cold the beak by cubes and I make a Russian salad for dinner so I already have lunch and dinner with the same food, and if I have leftovers pringá la pico and I make meatloaf goodiiiiisimas !!!!!! And I already have lunch, dinner and another meal for another day. I hope I have given you ideas. What is the "very" bad thing?

I had never made broth with my thermomix, and it went out of the cinema, and very homemade, the only thing I added is a little saffron, because I like to give it a little color, but it turned out well, well good. Thanks for sharing your recipes.

Hi Silvia, I was reading the recipe for stew broth with chicken and what you say about putting the stew preparation to desalinate has caught my attention, my question is what kind of stew preparation do you buy that you have to desalinate? I already know the content of the pot preparation tray since you have explained it many times in the comments, but why do you have to desalinate it? Is it that perhaps they are the kind that are white bones that seem to be covered in salt? Because I buy bones that are covered in salt but the tray only has bones and nothing else, they are pork bones and when I make broth I use a couple of them. I am very interested in making this broth but I am very intrigued about desalination. Thousands of thanks for your page, today is the first time I visit it and I think it is fantastic. Kisses.

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Indeed Vicen, the pieces are salted so that they are preserved for a longer time. That is why it is important to desalt them well before cooking them because otherwise the whole broth would be excessively salty. In any case, if you want to prepare it with fresh ingredients (that are not salted) it is an excellent option, it will still be delicious. Thanks for writing to us!
