White beans with ear

I had always thought that for beans with an ear to be good they had to be made slowly but it is clear that with jars of cooked beans and you Thermomix® recipes can be made just as rich as with the traditional method.

The beans and the ear are just right and the sauce is delicious. I have already commented on other occasions that cook with cooked legumes I like it a lot because they are very comfortable, quick and easy of doing. They also get me out of a lot of trouble because they combine with an infinity of ingredients and in a moment I have a dish made

To make it I used the ear of marinated pork. I ran it through the tap before pouring it into the glass to remove some of the marinade, but not all. and I think it has given it a very rich taste.

The most important thing about this recipe is that we love it, especially my husband who is a fan of stews and that he said they were "awesome!"

Hello Elena! I have to try this recipe but I wanted to know if it can be made with fresh ear from the one they sell at the butcher shop or if it has to be marinated, which I imagine will be the one they sell vacuum packed. Thanks. I love your blog.

Hello Conchi, you can do it with a fresh ear. I make it with the marinade so that it gives a little more flavor. I hope you like them. Greetings and I'm glad you like our blog.

Hello, I have a question with a fresh ear. Do you have to cook it beforehand? do you have to chop it up?

My wife bought it today so that tomorrow she can make the beans and I don't know if it needs to be cooked beforehand.

Regards, and thank you very much.

        Dani

        1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Hi Dani, yes, you have to cook it first. I recommend that you chop it up and put it in the pressure cooker with salt until it is soft, and then it's time to make the recipe as it comes here. Lucky!

      Hi Chari:

Put the potato divided into pieces, add it when you incorporate the ear but you will have to put the butterfly so that they do not fall apart a lot.

Hello Elena, I am Marta from Bacelona, I would like to ask you a question: the other Sunday I made beans with clams (the beans were not from boat, if not homemade) in tmx 31, I put the butterfly and the left turn, but I I let go of the butterfly a bit and I am almost bean porridge, do I pass this on to the bean class? Maybe the canned ones are more consistent and come out better to make this recipe. Thank you and congratulations on the blog.

    Simply spectacular …… ..q good.

  15.   Gem said

Hello, I can't use the canned beans for the salt so I'm going to do it with the dry ones, so how much more time do I have to put it on? Since the dry ones are harder.

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Gema:

Cook beans at home in simple but you will have to know several things:
      1. Not all beans are the same. Also, it depends a bit on how "old" they are. Although they are dry, the seasonal ones are much softer than those that are already a year or two.
      2. It is essential to soak them the night before. Use a large bowl and plenty of quality water.
      3. At the time of cooking the legumes, put the basket with the drained beans. Add some vegetables (carrot, leek, onion, garlic). Don't forget to add a little oil and a bay leaf, salt and pepper to give it a little more flavor. Fill the glass with quality water, respecting the maximum mark. Cook for 40 minutes, 40 minutes, 100ºC, speed 2.
      4. At the end of the time, add more cold water and continue cooking for another 30 minutes, 100ºC, speed 2.
      5. Check that they are ready. If they are still hard, repeat step 4.

I hope these notes help you with your healthy life without salt! 😉

      Kisses!!
