Wholemeal bread

One of my favorite breakfasts is this whole wheat bread, toasted with butter and jam. But since I get up a lot early and I'm always on the run, I don't have time to entertain myself with breakfast, which is also my favorite meal.

That is why I usually make this bread that I really like and it is very easy to prepare. Also, I lasts all week tightly wrapped in plastic wrap. A good coffee with a couple of slices of this bread, butter and homemade jamIt gives me the strength to start the day much better.

This whole wheat bread is a real delight for breakfasts and also for snacks with cold cuts or cheeses.

It is also the healthiest thing, I also made whole wheat bread, seeing your photo I have encouraged myself to do it again, I will tell you how it looks. Thanks Elena.

It sure looks good on you. Thanks to you for viewing our blog.

🙁 I just made this bread again, but I have put it in a large mold instead of the six little ones, so I have put it in the oven for 50 minutes, I have gone to see it after half an hour and buuaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it was all burnedooooooooooooo. I put it at medium height, maybe we should put it at low height? Thank you.
PS I'm still going to eat it scraping the top 😉

    1.    Elena said

I put it low (not all the way down). Put less time (40-45 min.), But it should have been done as it came out in the small molds, and at 200º. I think it will depend on the oven. I hope you do well, you will tell me.

  4.   cristina said

I think it will be the temperature, since I have baked it at 230º not at 200º. So the 230º thing is to preheat and then it goes down to 200º ??

    1.    Elena said

No, I also bake it at 230º, but your oven will be better than mine which is already many years old and I am sure that mine does not really get that temperature.

  5.   cristina said

Thank you very much, I will follow your advice. In any case, removing a very fine capita from the top, the rest can be eaten and it is delicious. I will keep making this bread.

Yesterday I made the bread and it turned out very good and very good, but I see it a bit complicated to get the dough out of the glass. Did you also have to tear it to pieces? and the blades, do you remove them before removing the dough? Between how sticky it is and the blades, the truth is that it did not clarify me. Of course that must be that I am a rookie.

    Thanks!!

    1.    Silvia said

Silvia, to remove the dough, I usually grease my hands with oil, and I turn the glass over on a top, unhooking the blades so that they fall on the dough and be able to remove everything better, although it is not usually very difficult for me.
      All the best

Good afternoon, I would like to start being a baker, but I have no idea where the strength flour is bought or if it is any flour or what brand, can you tell me? Thank you so much

    1.    Elena said

Hello Nieves, I buy it at Mercadona or Carrefour, in either of the two supermarkets it is together with the rest of the flours and you will find it quickly.

Hi, see if someone can help me… I have a 4-month-old güagüa (baby) with a food allergy. I can't eat anything with milk - soy - egg - peanuts… ..; I have been on this diet for 2 months and I have run out of ideas .. Does anyone have a recipe for a cake, in which I can use almond milk for example? It cannot have butter or egg ... I will appreciate it. Greetings

    1.    Elena said

Hello María Luisa, I do not have recipes to help you, but I will try to look to see if I find one that works for you. Allergies are a chore and in children worse because they give a lot of pain. All the best.

Hello, I am "addicted" to Thermomix because with this machine everything is easier, I usually make bread on weekends besides the good thing that comes out is that it does not carry any preservatives or strange things, only bread, bread and for me it is very important, We usually make some toasts on weekends with that bread that takes away the «sentio», and it is very satisfying to make your own bread yourself, try it and you will tell. A hug

    1.    Silvia said

You are right Mari Carmen, where is a delicious bread, homemade and without preservatives that the rest of the bars from all over the world are removed.
Homemade bread toast is a luxury. I'm glad you like the thermomix.

I am going to encourage myself to make bread, a question although it seems silly (since I am starting), is the microwave time with heat?

    1.    Silvia said

No Carmen, the rise time of the dough in the microwave is without heat. Taste it is delicious.

yesterday I bought rivercote flour in super, thinking of making a bread recipe, when I got home I started looking for a recipe on your website and surprise I just needed that flour, I got down to work and it turned out very well. A lot I have a question, to preserve it it would be better to freeze it in slices or simply wrapped in plastic wrap. Thanks

    1.    Elena said

Hi Marisa, I'm glad you like it! To preserve it, I wrap it in plastic wrap, but it doesn't last long because I eat it right away, especially I love it for breakfast with homemade jam. All the best.

How do you make whole wheat bread without putting yeast?
With bread, the oven should be turned up and down?
    Thanks for your advice.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Mercé, this bread is made with a special flour that already has yeast, it is a bread preparation that they sell at Lidl. And I put the oven up and down. You will see how rich he is. Greetings and thank you very much for seeing us.

I'm starting with the thermomix t 31, great and the delicious wholemeal bread, I put it at 200º and with 30 mn. It was enough, the dough that yes, a little sticky to remove it from the glass but otherwise ……… .a 10

  17.   ROCIO said

Hello thermomix colleagues ... I am a newbie in these worlds and I would need to know if this recipe can be made with chemical yeast ... I have a son who is allergic to yeast in bread ... what a bitch ... could you help me ...
    all the best

    1.    Virtues said

HOla sprinkle, normally the breads are made with this yeast, cornstarch has a special yeast for bread, I don't know if it can serve you.

  18.   maisa said

I COMMENT TO YOU, I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME, AND IT'S VERY GOOD, IN ADDITION TO MAKING A REGIME IT IS PERFECT, I CUT IT INTO SLICES, ONCE IT IS COLD AND I PUT IT IN A BAG OF THE BREAD AND WHEN I GO TO BREAKFAST IT I GET A RATITO BEFORE, EITHER YOU HAVE IT OR IT IS EATEN AS IS.

  19.   Dew said

I just made this bread for the first time…. I will tell you. It seems a little burned, but I don't know, I have set it to 230º, 50 minutes. Do you also put it as indicated in the recipe or do you lower the temperature?

    1.    Virtues said

Rocío is that everything depends on the type of oven we have, and in the rack that you place it, always the baking values, which we say in the recipes are indicative. All the best.

    Hello,

I am looking for the recipe for the bread that they sell whole wheat with certeals (it has pumpkin seeds, seeds,….) How can I couple it to this whole wheat bread recipe ???

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hi Eva, very good idea. You would simply have to take the ingredients you want to add and mix it with the flour before adding the water. I imagine that it will be a small amount (some pipes or some seeds) so the amount of water can be kept the same as the recipe says. You will tell us! Thank you very much for following us and for preparing our recipes. A pretty hug.

    Good,
I am new to the Thermomix world and I ask you: if I want to make rolls instead of large one-piece bread, would it be as simple as looking for small molds, does the time and / or temperature vary?
    Thank you

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

You are right Eloy, I would lower the temperature to 200º and also the time.

      Regards!

Hello, can you substitute butter for olive oil? What would the equivalence be?
    Thank you

    1.    Ascen Jimenez said

      Hi Azucena:
Yes, you can substitute olive oil. Put the same amount. But that recipe doesn't have butter, right?
      Take care!

Great recipes and very good advice, I have had thermomix for two years and I think I can no longer live without it. Thanks for sharing.

  27.   Jesus said

Hello, I am going to try to make this recipe but I want to ask you for help. I have a 1-year-old girl who just doesn't want to eat anything. She has lost weight since she was born and we have not managed to gain weight in any way. We are both very worried but above all the mother is very nervous. I used to eat a little meat or some vegetables, especially boiled zucchini, but for the last 2 weeks I have not wanted anything except a little bread from time to time. My idea is to make bread with chopped vegetables inside, onion, pepper, pumpkin, zucchini, eggplant, ... But I don't know if these condiments have to be cooked before or not, or half cooked ... Any advice you can give us? Many thanks to everyone in advance.

    1.    Ascen Jimenez said

      Hello Jesus,
First of all, a lot of encouragement! On the bread, yes, you can include vegetables inside. I would put it cooked and well drained, so that it does not add too much water (you may have to reduce the amount of water in your bread recipe a bit). You can even mash the vegetables like in these pumpkin breads: http://www.thermorecetas.com/pan-de-calabaza/
You can also enrich the bread with cheese. Maybe the little one likes it.
I suppose that the pediatrician will be able to advise you ... If he recommends any preparation, do not hesitate to contact us and if we can help you prepare it in Thermomix we will be delighted
      A hug
