We are going to make a simple, fast and versatile fish dish. In this case I have used trout but you can change it for another that you find at a good price in the market.

The important thing here is the Garrison. With simple ingredients (potatoes, onion, pepper and tomatoes) we are going to make our dish more complete and attractive. 

Later I will detail it but I tell you that you can do it only with Thermomix (instead of grilling the fish we will steamed -as we did the other day with the peppers-) or pull from the traditional oven. Perhaps now that summer has begun you will opt for the first option ... You will tell me!

We will enrich our trout thanks to a simple garnish. And if you want to use another fish, go ahead! well cooked it will also be phenomenal

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 100 g of extra virgin olive oil
  • 400 g of potatoes, peeled and cut into approximately half-centimeter slices
  • 150 g of green pepper cut into thin strips
  • 75 g of water
  • Sal Island
  • 2 or 3 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 3 small trout without guts and well washed
  • 3 slices of Serrano ham, one for each trout
  • A few threads of saffron
  • 50 g of white wine
  • If we make them in the varoma, 400 g of tap water

Preparation

  1. We place the butterfly on the blades. We put the oil and the onion in the glass. We program 7 minutes, varoma temperature, spoon speed.

  2. During this time we prepare the trout: we clean them and place a slice of ham inside each one of them.

  3. When the 7 minutes are up, we add the potatoes, the pepper and the water. We program 13 minutes, varoma temperature, left turn, speed 1.

  4. We pour the content on the baking tray or in a round aluminum mold that fits in the varoma container (depending on how we are going to continue the preparation). We put the tomatoes and trout on top.

  5. Without washing the glass, we pour in the wine and saffron. We mix during 10 seconds, speed 4. We pour it over the trout.

  6. If we choose to do it in the varoma, all our preparation will have been put in a round aluminum container, the kind of disposable, that fits inside the varoma container.

  7. We pour the 400 g of water into the glass. We place the varoma container in its position and program 20 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 1.

  8. We serve immediately.

  9. If we finish the recipe in the oven, we will have put all the previous preparation (potatoes, trout and sauce) on an oven-safe tray (if we cover it with baking paper then it will be easier to wash it).

  10. We preheat the oven to 180º. When it has reached that temperature, we put our tray. It will be in the oven for approximately 20 minutes. The time is indicative, so we will have to be aware.

  11. We serve immediately.

      Hello Belen! For the one you like the most. Think that it is cooked with varoma and that the garnish goes well with everything. Depending on the size, you may have to regulate the cooking time, but otherwise you can follow the same steps.
