Maybe you don't know that in Thermomix we can even make tortillas. Well, we have prepared this video for you. We teach you how to cook a tuna omelette with vegetable garnish using only our food processor.

We will make the omelette in the varoma tray and the vegetables will be steamed on the own container. And if we want an even more complete dish, we can always use the basket to cook white rice.

A delicious omelette cooked on the varoma tray accompanied by a garnish of vegetables that will be cooked, at the same time, in the container itself.

Ingredients

For the omelette:

  • 30 g of Parmesan in pieces
  • 30 g leek
  • Some fresh parsley leaves
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs
  • 150 g canned tuna (weight once drained)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Ground pepper
  • 500 g of water for the varom

For the vegetable garnish:

  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 red pepper in strips

Plus:

  • Cherry tomatoes quartered or halved
  • Sal Island
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Parsley or other aromatic herb

Preparation

  1. We put the Parmesan cheese in the glass. We program 10 seconds, speed 10. We take out and reserve.

  2. We put the leek and parsley in the glass. We program 5 seconds, speed 7. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass.

  3. Add the eggs, the breadcrumbs, the tuna, the salt, the pepper and the Parmesan that we grated in the first step. We program 20 seconds, speed 4.

  4. Cut the greaseproof paper in an oval shape, so that it fits into the base of the varoma tray without covering the side holes. We soak the paper in water and place it at the base of the tray.

  5. We put on the baking paper the mixture that we have just prepared and that we have in the glass.

  6. In the varoma container we put the vegetables, in this case sliced ​​carrot and red pepper in strips. We check that it does not cover the entire base so that there are free holes that allow steam to pass through.

  7. We put the tray on the container and cover everything with the lid.

  8. We put water in the glass and the varoma in its position. We program 20 minutes, speed 1.

  9. At the end of the programmed time, we carefully remove the lid and serve the omelette giving it the shape that interests us: circular -cutting it with a ring-, in strips, rolled up, into squares ... We accompany it with the garnish of vegetables and natural tomato. We season both the vegetables and the tomato with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, salt and, if we want, more parsley.
