Our friends vegan They were looking for a recipe for pesto without parmesan, a vegan pesto that can accompany pasta and vegetables. I recently introduced you to ginger and peppermint. But now I have discovered this one with beer yeast, which is very very similar to the traditional Genoese pesto. It is also ideal for lactose intolerant or to the POS

Try it with pasta, with roasted or boiled potatoes, with baked or steamed vegetables or even on toast. You are going to love it.

A Genoese pesto that replaces Parmesan with brewer's yeast. The taste is very similar to traditional pesto. For vegans and lactose and cow protein intolerant.

Ingredients

  • 20 g fresh basil
  • 25 g pine nuts
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 50 ml of aceite oliva
  • 3 tablespoons of brewer's yeast
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice

Preparation

  1. We put the basil, pine nuts and garlic in the glass. We crush during 10 seconds at speed 5.

  2. We lower the remains of the walls towards the blades with the spatula. We program speed 4, no time and, with the goblet on, we slowly pour the olive oil over the lid, so that it falls through the hole in the nozzle.

  3. We open the glass and lower the remains again. Add the brewer's yeast around the blades and the lemon juice. We close and mix during 20 seconds at speed 4.

  4. And it's ready. If you like more liquid, you can add more oil and repeat step 2.

Notes

If you need more quantity, you can double quantities keeping the same times and speeds.
