If you like the cauliflower you have to taste it like that, fried. And, if you don't like it, you have to try it anyway because, cooked like this, you may make an exception.

To prepare it, it will come great this post in which Irene explained to us step by step and with photos how to prepare and cut this vegetable. Then we will cook it at varoma (Although you can cook it in a saucepan if you prefer). And then comes the magic: we will transform a simple bouquet of cooked cauliflower into an irresistible bite.

We achieve it thanks to a mixture of flours and cold water (attention because it does not contain eggs). Then a little bread crumbs and to the frying pan or, rather, to the saucepan... I will explain everything to you below.

Thanks to this recipe we will turn the cauliflower florets into irresistible bites. It is a delicious batter that also does not contain an egg.

Ingredients

  • 1 small cauliflower
  • 150 g flour
  • 15 g cornstarch
  • 5 g of baking soda
  • 200g cold water
  • Bread crumbs
  • Sunflower oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Clean and chop the cauliflower as seen in this entry, to get corsages.

  2. We start by preparing what will be the batter. Grate the bread (if we do not have breadcrumbs) and reserve it.

  3. We now put the flour, cornstarch, bicarbonate and cold water in the glass. We program 10 seconds, speed 5. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass and we mix again a few seconds at speed 5. We put this mixture in a small bowl and reserve it in the refrigerator (it must be in the refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour).

  4. We take advantage of that time to cook the cauliflower. We wash the glass. We put 500 g of water in it and put the lid on. We place the cauliflower florets in the varoma container. We cover the container and place it on top of the glass lid, without a beaker. We program 20 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 2.

  5. Once the cauliflower is cooked, let it cool down a bit.

  6. We coat a bouquet in the dough that we have made at the beginning and that we have in the bowl. With our hands we sprinkle a little breadcrumbs on that bouquet covered in breadcrumbs and fry it in plenty of sunflower oil.

  7. My recommendation is that, instead of using a pan to fry the bouquets, we use a saucepan or saucepan. This way the oil will have a good height and we will hardly have to turn the vegetables. It will fry in less time.

  8. When they begin to brown, we remove them by draining the oil well, and we are putting them on absorbent paper.

  9. We serve immediately.

Notes

Try the batter with other vegetables. With raw pepper, for example, it is also phenomenal.

      Yes, yes, we add the baking soda along with the flour, cornstarch and cold water. Look at the recipe, it is written in point 3.
