Almond and coconut mantecados

The almond and coconut mantecados are one of the typical Christmas sweets that cannot be missing from your table during the most important celebrations.

They are delicious and the coconut gives them a special flavor. Even if you don't like coconut, I recommend you try them, because their flavor is very mild and I think you will like it.

The mantecados, like the polvorones, there are many flavors. And although these almond and coconut are great, I'm sure that soon I will try to make the lemon, orange or cinnamon.

How goodooosss, I'm going to do them today Could I leave the dough in the fridge much longer, or would it go bad? It is that I would like to make the dough in the morning and bake them in the afternoon, but I don't know if that is good or not. Thanks!

    1.    Elena said

Hi Mary, you can do it perfectly. It can be in the refrigerator from one day to the next and they are perfect, all you have to do is remove the dough 15-20 minutes before shaping it to be able to handle it well. I hope you like it. All the best.

Hello Remedios, I do not know how they would be, you can substitute the coconut for almond but if you remove the two I think they would not be like ice cream. Try and tell me. All the best.

    Hello guys!
I just wanted to ask you a question because I have already done them and it seems they look good. My question is how long they last without spoiling, I wanted them to come to me on Saturday (Christmas) but I don't know if I have gone ahead doing them today.
    Thanks for all your recipes.

Hi Eva, I keep them in bags to freeze, tightly closed. I don't know if you know the ones I mean, they are from the Albal brand or the Bosque Verde brand. Well closed they last you until Christmas. You can also keep them in a tightly closed can. The important thing is that they are not in the air so that they do not harden. Thank you very much for watching us and I hope you like them. All the best.
