Freeze-dried banana, chia and raspberry smoothie

This freeze-dried banana, chia and raspberry smoothie is the picnic perfect for everyone. It has a delicious drinkable texture and, as it has ice cubes, it is also refreshing.

It is done in a minute and up that little ones can do it or help us. They are happy to be useful and while we can take the opportunity to teach them not only the food, but also the number or notions about weight or volume.

This smoothie can be made with yogurt and normal milk but I recommend that you use the vegan version. We already know that the intake of cow's milk produces a lot of mucus, so we will keep the mosquitoes of the little ones at bay… and not so little ones.

Moreover, the freeze dried raspberries they give it a pungent touch of flavor and color. They are my latest acquisition, at the moment I have not done many tests with them and I have only used them to decorate the banana and chia smoothie but I am sure that I will soon share new recipes. They have a dry and brittle texture and an intense and penetrating flavor due to freeze-drying, which is a preservation method. The food is dehydrated by rapid freezing and, subsequently, the ice is removed by slight heating under vacuum. If you have tried freeze-dried fruits, leave me a comment with your opinion or recipes.

Ingredients

• 1 ripe banana
• 125g vegan yogurt
• 125 g of vegetable milk (see recipes here)
• 30 g vanilla protein powder
• 2 level tablespoons (soup size) chia seeds
• 2 or 3 ice cubes
• 1 teaspoon (dessert size) freeze-dried raspberry (optional)

Preparation

1. We peel the banana and put it in the glass. Add the rest of the ingredients except the freeze-dried raspberry, beat for 1 minute, progressive speed 5-7-9.

2. We divide the content into small cups and finish by sprinkling the raspberry. We serve right away.

Notes

The amount of calories will vary depending on the non-dairy milk used.
