Galette Bretonne complete

🥞 Who doesn't know crepes? Well, here we bring you another great French dish par excellence called Galette Breton and is made with buckwheat flour, that's why they have a darker color than crepes. ​Absolutely delicious!!😋​

You can prepare them salty or sweet, as you like, you can be very creative and give free rein to your imagination. We today prepare the most traditional: with cheese, york ham and egg.

It is important that you keep in mind that when you prepare the dough, leave itsoak for at least 30 minutes. But you can even prepare it the day before perfectly and thus advance work. You will only have to stir it very well, because the flour will have gone to the bottom. And perhaps, you need to add more water to the dough.

With these amounts you can prepare 6 to 8 units. Being large and plump, they are quite filling. One per person will suffice, or two if you are a big eater.

Ingredients of 10, result of 10!

  • The cheese we have chosen is raclette (it also goes great with brie or compte cheese).
  • ​The york ham we have opted for one with a braised touch.
  • The egg, a farmyard one.

If you accompany them with salad they are already… finger licking good!

Tricks

We leave you here some very interesting tricks to make them perfect:

☝️​You will see that the texture is much lighter than crepes, that's how it should be. If necessary add more water until it is quite liquid. It is the only way to make them thin and with holes.

☝️​They must be super super fine, so heat the widest pan you have, throw a ladle and spread it quickly and very very well.

☝️​When you add the egg, spread the white with the help of a spoon so that it is distributed and cooked well.
