Mashed Cauliflower

Although the Mashed Cauliflower Today it does not have the texture of the traditional mashed potatoes, the truth is it will perfectly accompany your meats and Fish if you put it at the base of the plate.

In the first step of the recipe we will make a sauce of leek. Then we will cook the cauliflower with a little potato and milk. Then we will only have to grind.

If we are interested, we can make it thicker than the one seen in the photo removing some liquid before grinding.

Ingredients

• 30 g leek
• 20 g of extra virgin olive oil
• 400 g of cauliflower in small florets
• 100 g potato peeled and in pieces
• 200g milk
• 1 / 2 teaspoon salt
• Nutmeg

Preparation

1. We put the leek in pieces in the glass and program 5 seconds, speed 7. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass.

2. We add the oil and program 3 minutes, 120º, speed 1.

3. Add the cauliflower, potato, milk, salt and a little grated nutmeg.

4. We program 25 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

5. If we want it to be thicker, we remove the milk.

6. Let cool for a few minutes in the glass. Holding the beaker, we grind for 1 minute at speed 8.
