Catalan cream nougat flan cannot be missing in my house this holiday season!! The Catalan cream nougat is my husband's favorite. So, as soon as he discovered my flan a few years ago, nougat from jijonaYou can imagine what he said to me: "It's delicious, but I don't even want to think how the flan would be if it were my beloved Catalan cream nougat ..."

And one who goes out of his way for his family, had to try. I didn't tell them what it was when I put it on for dessert and you should have seen his face as soon as you tried it. He quickly said to me: "What is this flan? ... you have done it to me !!" Well, yes, I had done it and it has been a total success. Everyone has loved it and my boy has been showing off flan all week.

It is important that the ingredients are room temperature and that the milk is whole so that it curdles without problem. This dessert curdles in the fridge and in about 4 hours it will be ready, although I like to prepare it from one day to the next.

I recommend it for New Year's Eve or New Year's Eve, it can be an original way of drinking nougat and to finish a fabulous meal, which is sure to please everyone.

      I bought it on the DAY, now after Three Kings that the supermarkets start with the rest of Christmas, I buy jijona nougat and the Catalan cream I freeze it and I have to make these flans several times a year.

I ALREADY HAVE THE NOUGAT (FROM MERCADONA, BUT IT IS SOFT D ALMONDS, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO CATALAN CREAM). TB I HAVE THE SOY MILK, BUT IN THE ROYAL CROP IT SAYS Q IT MAY HAVE TRACES OF WHEAT AND MILK.     Spectacular! It has been a success at home. I did it with a PICÓ nougat pill that was for diabetics, without sugar, and I added only 30 g of brown sugar, but I think I could even have dispensed with it.
    As it has been very consistent, I will try skimmed milk to see if it comes out well.

    And so, between the nougat with sweeteners, the skimmed milk and without adding sugar, I can even get the illusion that it is a "light" dessert and everything!
