The pear custard with vanilla is one of the softer desserts that is on our website. A light recipe, not cloying at all and very showy.
In my family, the one who likes pudding the most is my husband's grandfather and he liked this recipe very much because it is light and fresh. In addition, the pear has a very mild flavor that goes perfectly with flan.
I have used an aluminum mold of 1 liter capacity, if you like them thinner you can use a larger mold like 1,5 liters or make it in individual flan dishes like these condensed milk puddings.
I want to dedicate this recipe to María (Silvia's sister) who is her birthday today. Congratulations from both of you! I hope you enjoy the day with your boy and with the family. Take this opportunity to thank you for all your support, you have been with us from day one. Many kisses, Mary.

Hello Elena, I think it is a very rich recipe, I have always been curious and I have never dared to do it, but what would happen if we change cow's milk for almond or soy milk?
Stop making puddings because my baby is on a lactose-free and gluten-free diet, he drinks almond milk that he likes more than rice or soy, although he could use any of them.
Do you think it would curdle and come out with consistency?
Thanks for your recipes.
Susana
Hi Susana, I think it will look good, but the truth is that I always make them with whole milk. Look at the recipe for "lactose-free chocolate flan", it is very tasty and your child is going to love it. All the best.
Good morning Elena and Silvia, I have never made a flan in the varoma, and I don't know very well which mold to use, nor the measurements to fit it into the varoma.
Thank you.
Hello Blanca, I use 1l aluminum molds. capacity or 1,5l. In all supermarkets they sell them and they come with a cardboard cover for each mold. Greetings and I hope you like it.
Do you think that instead of pear in syrup we can use peach in syrup? Thanks.
Hello Carolina, I think it will be perfect. I had also thought about making it with peach. All the best.
Hello!! mmm, yummy, I love pears and flan so the mix of both must be a delicacy! look, do you know if I can substitute vanilla stick for vanilla sugar? I don't know where I can easily find the vanilla stick… thank you.
greetings and congratulations on your blog, I love it 😉
Hello Maria, you can find her at Carrefour, SuperCor or Alcampo. It gives more flavor than vanilla sugar. Greetings and I'm glad you like our blog.
Good morning, as you will see I am faithful to your recipes. My family loves flan and this will be the next one they try, I hope I get that pint. Thanks.
I hope you like it, Lucia, you will tell me. All the best.

Hi Blanky, I bought it at Carrefour, but you can pulverize rice and then sift it. Greetings and I hope you like flan.
Elena you have been wonderfully flan. I liked it a lot, look that I have the Thermomix and I don't know why I don't encourage myself to prepare the puddings. But when I saw this of yours, I have wanted to do it.
I visit you from time to time, but from now on you will see me more around here. With your permission I have put a link to your blog, so as not to miss the recipes you publish. Let's see if from now on I will give more use to the machine.
Kisses,

WHAT MORE RICH RECIPES THANK YOU WHAT YOU ARE
Thank you very much Angelines!
Hello Elena!!! how original and rich, of course the photograph says "eat me I'm delicious" ha ha ha…. Little question, can it be made with natural pears? Thanks
Hello Wendy, yes it can be done but they oxidize before and with pears in syrup it is juicier and sweeter. All the best.
Hello Elena! The question I have has nothing to do with this recipe, but I need to know one thing.
Today I made the cookies cookies… (well now they are in the oven) (and not in the form of a cookie) it is impossible to knead the dough ……… it remains stuck on all sides, I have tried to put as you said in `plastic wrap and it also stays stuck …… ..in short a disgusting. ah I have followed all the steps!
Another day when I made other cookies in the thermomix, the same thing happened to me.
I hope you can help me.
Thank you
I just took out the cookies (well I have spread all the dough on the oven tray) and now I have cut, they have come out very goodiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisimas, but please give me a trick to be able to shape cookies without sticking all over.
Thanks thanks
Mari Paz, I knead it into pieces as I take it out of the refrigerator, roll it out with a rolling pin and cut it with pasta cutters (I leave the rest of the dough in the refrigerator). I usually crush the masses with my hands, putting vegetable paper or plastic wrap in the middle and then I help myself with the roller. Greetings and I'm glad you liked them.
I did it yesterday and I surprised everyone, they loved it, I love your recipes, they are very easy to do congratulations on your blog
I'm glad, Angeles! Greetings and thank you very much for seeing us.
Hello! It looks more good it has! But one question .. Doesn't it stick to the walls of the mold? You have to spread it before butter or something? Thank you very much for your recipes!
Hi Caty, it doesn't stick. I use aluminum molds and it doesn't stick. All the best.
the aluminum molds are for single use ???? Thanks for everything!!
Yes, Angela, it's those. All the best.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! What an illusion it makes to appear on your blog, the flan looks great, I will try it soon, for sure! And thank you also for your ideas with so many recipes, this week I already have 5 recipes of yours and that my mother cooks at home !! Kisses at two.

Thank you very much, Isa!
I've had the thermomix for a long time, I usually use it a lot but since I've discovered you every day I cook mostly desserts in it. Thank you for your recipes.
Thank you very much, Paqui !. I'm glad you like our blog. All the best.
Hello Elena, I finished doing it and I have realized that all the water is consumed, that is normal. Thanks I'll try it when it cools in the fridge.
Hello Mamme, yes that is normal. I hope you like it. All the best.
Hello girls I am making your flan right now but I do not have aluminum molds and the k ke I put does not fit in the varoma so I have put the flan in the bain-marie in the oven how long should I put it ??? I put 30 min and I'm looking
Hello Malagueña, I think that 20 - 30 minutes will be perfect for you. I hope you like it. All the best.
Hello good!!! I have two ducks ...
the first is that what is caramelizing the mold? I know it's very basic but I've never made a flan ...
And the second is, would there be any possibility of substituting vanilla wand for vanilla aroma? I bought it to make a cake and there I have it, laughing ...
Thanks in advance!
Hello Marina, you have to pour liquid caramel at the base of the mold and move it so that it spreads throughout the base. Yes, you can add a dash of vanilla aroma instead of the pod. I hope you like it, you will tell me. All the best.
I'm making the flan only without fruit since I don't like fruit in syrup very much but hey, the pint is very good. THANK YOU.
I hope you like it, Ceci, you'll tell me.
Your recipes are very good to continue like this, I hope you put new recipes to continue enjoying, bicos.
I'm glad you like them, Ceci! We will continue with our recipes and I hope you continue to like them. Kisses.
Great taste, thank you very much for the recipe.
