Apple and chocolate cake

We go there with a apple cake tasty tasty. You will like its texture and, of course, its flavor.

In addition to the apple we are going to put some pieces of chocolate. This time I have used tablet chocolate, chopped with a knife. It is much cheaper than chocolate chips and, for this type of candy, it is also very good. Choose your favorite: milk chocolate, the one they sell for desserts or even the one with a higher percentage of cocoa. I have mixed half with the cake batter and the rest I have put on the apple, on the surface.

Ingredients

  • 180 g of sugar
  • The skin of 1 organic lemon and a splash of lemon juice
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g of natural yogurt
  • 120 g of sunflower oil
  • 200 g flour
  • 80 g cornstarch
  • 1 packet of baking yeast, Royal type
  • 2 or 3 apples
  • 50 g of chocolate

Preparation

  1. We put the sugar and the lemon peel in the glass (only the yellow part). We grated programming 10 seconds, speed 10.

  2. We fit the butterfly on the blades. We incorporate the eggs and program 5 minutes, 37º, speed 4.

  3. We remove the butterfly. Add the yogurt and oil and program 1 minute, speed 2.

  4. Add the flour, cornstarch and yeast. We program 8 seconds, speed 4. 

  5. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass we program 4 seconds, speed 4.

  6. We put our mixture in a mold of about 22 centimeters in diameter (previously greased). 

  7. We put half of the chocolate on the surface of the cake and, if we want, delicately and with the spatula, we mix it with the dough.

  8. We peel the apples and cut them into thin wedges. We add a splash of lemon and distribute them on the surface of the cake. 

  9. We put the rest of the chocolate on the apple.

  10. Bake at 180º for 30 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil and continue baking at 180º for about 20 more minutes or until we check that the inside is well cooked (we just have to insert a skewer stick and check that it comes out clean).
