We like simple cakes, those that are prepared in a moment and that the whole family like. Today's is made with ricotta (also serves cottage cheese), eggs, and apple. Have Low fat since it does not contain oil or butter.

What do you not have apple? Replace them with pears or any other fruit and it will be just as delicious. You will see that the dough is quite compact but it has to be like that. It will help us so that the apples do not sink and remain on the surface.

Ricotta and apple cake

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • The juice of 1/2 orange
  • 120 g of sugar
  • 270 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g of ricotta
  • 1 envelope of Royal type yeast

Preparation

  1. We preheat the oven to 180º and prepare a mold of about 22 centimeters in diameter.

  2. We put two or three pieces of orange peel in the glass (only the orange part) and also the sugar. We program 10 seconds, speed 8.

  3. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass.

  4. Add the flour, yeast, eggs and ricotta. We program 30 seconds, speed 5.

  5. We put the dough that we have obtained in the mold that we have previously prepared, leveling the surface (it is a fairly compact dough).

  6. Peel and quarter the two apples, put them in a bowl and sprinkle them with the orange juice. We make a few cuts in each quarter and place these portions on the dough, pressing a little so that they are embedded in the surface. The orange juice that remains in the bowl can be put on the surface of the cake, with a little sugar.

  7. Bake at 180º for approximately 40 minutes.

      Hello isbael:
      Now I will correct it in the recipe but I will tell you in advance: I have used the juice to marinate the chopped apple that we will then put on the surface of the cake.
