Apple and Leek Vichyssoise

There are plenty of creams in our recipe book, but this apple and leek vichyssoise is one of the favorites. It has a smooth and very rich flavor and is ideal for hot days because it is taken cold.

If the classic potato and leek vichyssoise you like it you have to try this one because the combination of ingredients surprises to all.

It has also served us as inspiration to create other delicious creams that will help you to have a healthy diet.

Hello! Well, yes, the ingredients are surprising, but how much evaporated milk does it have? I have bought the Lidl, and I think that other brands are other amounts.

Hello Raquel, I use the one from the Nestle brand and it is the 410 gr jar. All the best.

We loved it! We serve it with fresh black pepper and it was delicious, soft and light. I pass it to the "usual" section, thank you very much!

Very rich, but too sweet. I liked it but the children not so much ... I think next time I will do the classic 😉

      Hi Mary,
You are absolutely right, the cream tends to be sweet but why not try it in summer and drink it cold as if it were a gazpacho? You will see how it is not so sweet.

      Kisses!

I would like to know the weight of the ingredients… I am new to La Cocina and I don't know what 4 ports and three blocks are equivalent to…. Thank you very much for your recipes

Hello Maria, in some recipes it is important to stick strictly to a few grams, but in this case we put "4 leeks" because it doesn't matter whether it is more or less. As a rule, when you talk about these types of ingredients in a recipe, they refer to medium-sized leeks and apples, neither excessively large nor excessively small. So you will not have to waste any rest of the product because we will use it whole. I hope I have clarified your doubt Maria. A hug 🙂
