Nougat bavarois

For these Christmas days, I suggest you prepare a nougat bavaroise, an original dessert that combines the traditional nougat flavor with a new style of presentation.

The preparation is very simple, we simply have to make an English cream, mix it with whipped cream and nougat. All this is done in a jiffy thanks to our Thermomix.

But the best comes with the presentation. Nothing like using ones small cups… They are so fashionable !. So no one has to give up their dessert, no matter how succulent the lunch or dinner was.

If you are thinking of organizing a buffet This will be an allied dessert.

Nougat bavaroise is an original dessert that can be made in advance.

Ingredients

  • Yolks 2
  • 30 g de azúcar blanquilla
  • 120g milk
  • 3 gelatin sheets
  • 250 g soft nougat
  • 200 g whipping cream

Preparation

  1. We hydrate the gelatin sheets in cold water.

  2. We put the nougat in pieces in the glass. We bite it during 4 seconds at speed 5. We withdraw and reserve.

  3. Without washing the glass we assemble the 200 g of cream with throttle at speed 3. We must be careful so that it does not pass and form butter. We remove and reserve in the fridge.

  4. We put the milk, sugar and yolks in the glass. We program 6 minutes, 90º and speed 4.

  5. Add the well drained gelatin and mix for 10 seconds at speed 4.

  6. Add the chopped nougat and beat for 30 seconds at speed 3 until obtaining a thick cream. We remove to a large bowl and let cool.

  7. We incorporate the cream to the warm cream with the help of some manual rods and making soft and enveloping movements.

  8. We pour the mixture obtained into small shot glasses. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

  9. At the time of serving, we decorate the cups using almond grains, chocolate shavings, cocoa or cinnamon powder, etc.
